July 12, 1998: His greatest moment, scoring two headers as France wins World Cup for first time after 3-0 win over Brazil. Zidane's face is flashed up onto the Arc de Triomphe as millions take to the streets of Paris chanting "Zizou, Zizou." Later that year, he wins France Football magazine's illustrious "Golden Ball" award.
Easily his greatest moment in terms of playing for his country but his strikes in the Champions League are what I remember him most for.

Will France be able to replace him and continue to be a serious contender on the world stage?

His shoulder high volley in the Champions League final, given all the circumstances, was certainly the best I can remember seeing.

Runner up: RC's bike at Kinsmen... :D

Surely, Emmanuel Petit is sufficiently rested by now . . .
