Celtic has let lots of players go.......Boruc(Fiorentina for approximately 3 million), McManus(Boro approximately 1.7 million), Braffheid, N'Guemo(loan deal over), Lee Naylor(no ****ing idea where he went)...........McGeady is JUST about gone as it appears he is going to Aston Villa.

PLayers brought in.......Joe Ledley from Cardiff.....I think this kid is going to be very good for Celtic. I've only seen him play a couple of times but he has the right type of game to play in the SPL
Du Ri - South Korea's right back.......honestly only saw him once so can't comment
Juarez - Mexican right back who has dynamite pace. He will likely be playing on the right side of midfield or in a holding role in the middle. He can fly and looks like he could be a great pickup
Charlie Mulgrew - bought him back after loaning and selling him. He has always had potential going forward and is a good dead ball specialist and of course is left footed. He will be better than what was there but I'm not sure he will be quite good enough.

Up front is where Celtic will struggle again and in the middle of the backline......Samaras/Fortune/Hutchinson/Sheridan/Rasmussen............we've lost Keane obviously as well as Kamara. In goal, I don't think we will be that much worse with Poland's number 2 keeper.

Rangers are obviously in much worse shape as their squad is shrinking and not being replace. Chris Eagles turned them down. :D Apparently 12 000 quid was offered per week.............Yah, right. Thomson/Boyd...........Bougherra would be gone too but no one has offered anything for him yet.....apparently.

Either way, Celtic will NOT be much better than Rangers AGAIN this year because Celtic's board is just content at staying where it is.......Celtic drew Sporting Braga in the third round qualifying match........which is the 'easiest' of the 3 other choices(Ajax/Werder Bremen/Fenerbahce/) but I still don't think we'll be good enough to beat Portugal's number 2 from last season. Then it will be a Europa qualifier......IF Celtic get by Braga, then Sevilla, Tottenham, Auxerre, Sampdoria awaits..........ouch.

I forgot that Celtic just signed Ireland international, Daryl Murphy, from Sunderland who is a left footed striker..........to be honest, I have a feeling he will an equivalent to the skinny tube who plays for Rangers, Laugherty. Let's hope he isn't.

Spurs are in the Champions League this year Cappy.

Lafferty is a terrible football player along with most of the other donkeys in the scottish Pub League... kind of tough to take, and really last year I watched loads more Bundesliga games than I did Gers matches... Way better football, way better parity throughout the league, and you can see actual talent from time to time, rather than watching thugs boot each other.

Never heard of him........

Celtic have completed the move for Juarez.......I have a feeling that will be it for Celtic until they get knocked out of the CL qualifiers which start in less than two weeks.

Don't know anything about the lad but he has scored 50 goals in the last two seasons in the Championship and League One I believe. Great numbers but the Championship.....even fat Charlie Adams, Scott McDonald, and Barry Robson score goals so that doesn't mean too much.

Looking forward to seeing the Mexican, Juarez..........tough as nails

It's official now....

BBC Sport - Football - S****horpe striker Gary Hooper signs for Celtic

And almost one more..........:D

BBC Sport - Football - Celtic pursue Israel midfielder Biram Kayal

Chris Eagle is still as close as Rangers have had to signing anyone. :D FFS, it is pretty funny actually.

And we still have a better starting 11. Hooper and Kayal sound like an 80's cop show. A long throw from Sol Campbell, David James, Jimmy Bullard and William Gallas. Good luck.

Had lunch with Frase yesterday. How's the knee? Bloody Meersy. You would think he was a Hun or sumpin'.

Like last year, I can't be overly optimistic.....YET. I don't expect us to get by Braga. That would be foolish to think that. With new players comes getting used to each other and of course a new manager. The one thing Lennon SHOULD bring to the plate is his passion for the club. Tony Mowbray didn't have that apparently and couldn't motivate the players there. Celtic has lost a lot of goals with Keane gone so replacing those goals is going to be difficult. I know NOTHING about the guys brought in except for Du Ri and Juarez, mainly from the World Cup. We certainly have a lot of countries covered now. :D

For some reason I can't open the youtube video...... But I'm sure it is funny.

Knee is getting better.....just a 2nd degree sprain of the MCL. Could have been worse. Some things never change...........

Celtic's goalkeeping is weaker. The back line hasnt improved. The two areas that desperately needed improvement. And please, please dont tell me Mulgrew is an upgrade. If so, I'm giving you 5 games before you're cursing him. If he turns out a good signing, I'll give you one of my MCLs.

I agree, Bucky. The goalkeeping is a little bit weaker.......the center back situation is still a big concern......Mulgrew is no worse than who was there but an improvement........no. He is a decent striker of a dead ball but that's not going ot make a huge difference. I wanted N'Guemo to be back because his work rate in the midfield was one of the few bright spots last year. Our strikers(Samaras/Fortune) will struggle and to be honest, I have NO idea about the other two.......who knows? But I do know Celtic's strikers will be better than Lafferty. :D That's not saying much mind you but they will still be better

As expected, Portugal's second best destroyed Scotland's second best 3 - 0. I only managed to watch a link for the first half then lost it. The Portuguese team was far superior in skill and Celtic gave up a really STUPID penalty 25 minutes into the game when they had only had one shot on goal from about 20 yards out. It was a hand ball by Ki, the South Korean international, and there was absolutely no need for it as it was a cross with 5 defenders behind him.......some refs may not have called it but the hand was away from the plane of the body. Celtic generated NOTHING in their 4-2-3-1 with Samaras up front........

The second half I can't comment on as I lost the feed and couldn't get another but I'm guessing it was much more of the first. I knew Celtic was not going through this tie and would be playing a Europa League qualifier in the near future but it still doesn't answer the question.......who is going to be brought in at Center-back and left back.......and where are the goals going to come from. Juarez, the Mexican, is as tough as nails and he will help with the grit in midfield but without McGeady(didn't even make the roster today..heard he was sold to Aston Villa for 10 million quid ) they had no one out wide who could go at their fullbacks. Lennon started Maloney wide on the left and he hasn't played a competitive game in 7 months??????WTF? Anyway, disappointed but not surprised. Scotland is a shambles at the moment and I fear the CL campaign in the group stages will be a bending over.......having said that, Smith does a good job of organizing the shite that he has on his team. That is the advantage Rangers have over Celtic at the moment

I managed to open it........weak effort to be honest. Why did they have pictures of Aiden McGeady/Barry Robson when they had nothing to do with the game? Here are the 3 goals. They are laughable especially two and three......more more enjoyable.

How bad was the defending on the corner and how bad was the goalkeeping on the third?
