Alouette United Razorbacks DC vs Aldergrove D2

Went to watch the Pres Cup Game between these two teams. It was a shame that there had to be a winner. Absolute shocking display of football !!!!

Game went into shoot-out where the Razorbacks won 3 to 2. Aldergrove may have won if they had someone who could shoot the ball away from the keeper. advantage was to the Aldergrove team as their keeper looked a little more agile. Give the Razorbacks Keeper credit though he made a couple saves.

Storm vs. Aldergrove

Storm win 5-0.

After watching most of this one, two thoughts come to mind: how the hell did Aldergrove manage to play itself into contention for Promotion most of the year, and why are they playing this group in 1st division in the first place?

The Storm went up 2-0 early, and they just played w/ Aldergrove the rest of the way. Nick Don'tknowhislastname had the first (on an apparently awesome shot hit from 30 yard w/ the outside of his right peg), his brother Sandro the 2nd off a keeper error, Mike Wagstaff had the 3rd after running through a defender to put the ball in an unprotected side of the net, Johnny K with the 4th off a Mike Wagstaff feed, and Dana Nocluabouthislastnameeither with the final tally on another set-up by Mike Wagstaff, with the assist going to Mark Kerr.

Bobby Brown then blew a mercy whistle for a 42 minute second half.

The Storm are looking scary good right now.

Aldergrove

This club is shocking right now. Again, I couldn't believe the line-up they put out there Sunday for the 1st div. game vs. the Storm. This club has done it to themselves; the majority of the 1st div. side should have moved to over 30's 3 or 4 years ago. They have a keeper playing on their 2nd div. team who wouldn't at all look out of place in Premier, plus a handful of younger players in their lower divisions who could probably help out their 1st or even Premier team.

Every year these guys hold open try-outs, get good players turning out to their try-outs, then turn most of them away so that the Old Boys squad can play another season. It's time the Clark Brothers recognize what's good for their club and force the majority of the 1st div squad to play over 30's, or leave the club.

BEANBAG is back or should we say was back. The sparse crowd assembled for the CAT game between Highlanders and GEU were treated to the TransAtlantic Return of a fan favourite, Andy Stafford. Yes a heart defribillator had to be purchased in advance of the game (insurance reasons) but it was well worth the expense. Fortunately, Beanbag limited his runs to a radius of 8 feet and there was no need for spontaneous resuscitation. Seriously, he did not look out of place and almost struck with 35 yard blast not unlike the shot that pierced the hearts of Ranger fans last year.

Andy has returned back to London for a land / air race with the Concorde. Good luck and thanks for the memories.

Lufc B 3 vs Poco Hotspur 1

Hey Dude,

Looks like we helped you guys out with this win against Poco Hotspur. Great game for Langley and we actually had 5 subs for the first time this year. The 3-1 score actually flatters Poco as we should have easily scored 4 or 5 more, but shite happens and the ball goes different ways and not in the net:D .

Well done

The only problem with that is the league may not let us play our last game. That makes it mathematically impossible for them to catch us...not that 3rd means anything. Too bad...the guys are looking forward to playing the last game. After all, we all pay to play, and we want as many games as possible.

Lufc b 2 vs Poco Raiders 2

Real sluggish start to this game. I think everyone was a little confused to be playing on Friday morning.( Or was it the hangovers:D ). Both times poco went up on Langley, they battled back to preserve the tie. with 15 minutes left to play Demo finally played up front for th B's this year. With Carl and Demo running all over the place for the last 15, we were giving poco's defence fits but their goalie came up big on many of our plays.
Well that does it for our year, so bring on summer season:D
