Shocking

Dude, fantastic write up. I too knew and played on Slovan with Pete. He truly was a great guy . That's a nice big belly buster to start a Monday off with...

bravo.......

Very well said, Dude. Though I didn't know the man I'm sure those who did will be moved by your piece. Well played, a classy bit of writing.

I agree Dude, well done sonno.

I also knew Peter through football as I played against him a couple of times.
Not really to speak to but the usual hello on the pitch.
Very classy player.

The part that struck me on the piece was the helmet/alcohol factor.
Twice in my life, death has affected me and my friends as a result of poor decisions like this.
Both times friends through soccer.
The part I love about our soccer community is the social factor that comes after we kick the hell out of that ball.
It's the best part, better than the fitba.
It's also our achilles heel and provides for a ton of controversy and disappointment a lot of times.

We all have to realize responsibility and literally make sure everyone's sorted.
Look out for one another.
There is no room for a lecture tomorrow.
Even if there's no deaths involved, many life altering things can happen.

We've all done it.
Time to deal with it to minimalize these tragedies.

My two bits,

Preacherforever
