Los Angeles's newest soccer team has a name, and now it looks as though it has concrete plans for a stadium.

Nascent MLS side LAFC, set to begin play in 2018, unveiled renderings on Sunday evening of a proposed stadium to be built ahead of their premier season.

The soccer-specific venue will house 22,000 and will be built on the site of the iconic Sports Arena in Exposition Park, reports Kevin Baxter from the L.A. Times. As such, it would become the first open-air stadium built in Los Angeles since 1962, when Dodger Stadium was erected.

The report continued:

The $250-million complex, covering 15 acres in the shadow of the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, would include a conference center, restaurants and a soccer museum.
