See what I did there?

So is anyone else getting a bit numb from all the covid messaging coming out of our governments and Henry/Tam?

The good doctor is tearing up on an almost daily basis now and I'm beginning to think we might need to start looking for a more non-emotional leader? This is NOT going to change for the next bit, especially with the wishy-washy messaging.

In the Spring when this all broke, remember the TP shortages? Remember the lines out the grocery markets and people offering to spray disinfectant on your hands before entering?

For me, this is why everything is getting way outta fcuking control. We don't have the visual cues we had before so people relax a bit.

We are testing the least amount per capita in North America. WTF? The good doctor was a rock star in the beginning, she is crumbling now... why?

I've just found her really irritating since the summer.

It clear the direction BC was heading and now we're in a mess that she seems to have no idea how to control or get us out of, with numbers increasing, wrong stats issued, poor tracing and notification (how can Coastal FC's women's team have positive tests and people don't find out for 12 days?), and not enough mandates just suggestions.

Her kumbaya approach wore thin a long time ago for me. Her continued reliance on people being nice and doing the right thing fails to recognise that there's a large group of people that are selfish asshats. If they don't see people dying then they don't see it as an issue and then young people just behaving irresponsibly (SFU players in Kelowna for Canada Day being a prime example from a soccer bent).

Stop asking and starting telling and imposing.

Australia, and especially Melbourne, were tough as fcuk in the beginning and then again when things picked up for the second surge. A few weeks of pain has now let them enjoy their summer and have big crowds in at sporting events.

Even the UK, which has been a clusterfcuk and full of idiots, managed to get their asses in gear and it's brought the R rate down below 1. Plus they're getting vaccines from next month whereas Trudeau hopes to have half the population her vaccinated by September.

She and others need to get tougher, or they need to be replaced by people who don't care that it's going to make them temporarily unpopular.

Although I agree with you guys I feel like if she were to come down hard we’d have a MAGA type uprising here that would only make things worse. People are looking for a place and time to protest and there are already people around stirring up shite with “rights and freedoms”, personal choice, and just plain not giving a fcuk.
Considering we have a huge divide between those people who are following the rules, those who are against the rules, and those who think it’s bullshit and a hoax, there is no easy solution to make it work. You’ll never get everyone on the same page now. I think it’s about a happy medium, avoiding lockdown, and getting to vaccination stage.
Look where Manitoba is, even Alberta, there’s a massive backlash with lockdowns and masks.
But as long as you have FB certified doctors, we’re all in it for the long haul.

everyone’s tired of listening, but when the game plan is mask and distance, what else do you have to say? This is it, get on board. ‍
i’m surprised she lasted this long without tearing up. You feel like you are fighting a losing battle with people who don’t understand or don’t wanna understand and won’t follow along. I woulda raged by now haha.
Hard to stay unemotional when people think you suck, you don’t know what you are doing and all of it is a big lie to support the New World Order takeover, but you’ve spent a year working 20hr days trying to keep people alive.

I couldn’t agree more, I can’t tell you how many people I know that feel this is one big government ploy to bring world wide socialism. How far can they push us on rules and lockdowns. Honestly what I’ve seen is shite loads of selfishness. Believe what you want, I try and listen a bit to all sorts of opinions.
I’m listening to making sure hospitals don’t become overwhelmed. That’s all I care about, making sure people who need help get it. If I have to make a few sacrifices, so be it. It’s not about agreeing at this stage, get on board so we can help prevent as many business from closing and people from dying as possible. I feel confident Bonnie Henry isn’t looking to stop people from enjoying life. Ladies bloody crying because she knows that’s where it’s going and people will hate her.

If people really cared about small business, care homes, drug overdoses, and whatever else they say this is affecting, then they would go along with the game plan and at least keep everything as far from lockdown as possible. But instead they do what they want, don’t mask, keep the numbers climbing and then bitch more about more rules and lockdowns. At least if everyone masked up, and social distanced and it didn’t work, they’d have a case to argue, but they don’t/didnt.

Personally I have family and friends who can’t afford to get this, and no they aren’t grandparents or elderly, but heavily immuno compromised. ( cancer, diabetes, CF, etc) Doing my part to not pass it on to them and others in the same boat, and that there are beds available and hospitals open to treat them if needed. Wish everyone was thinking and doing the same.

I completely think Covid is a thing. I completely understand that the hospitals have to manage capacity issues. Mortified when I read the Tabor Homes type stories.

I like so many, the vast majority, have followed the rules from Day 1 and will continue to regardless of what my opinion is, or if I agree or disagree with the restrictions/orders in place.

What I do not like, and will continue to voice my opinion on is the lack of information, numbers, capacity, where (outbreaks), how(outbreaks) etc.... I do not like been continually told by 'Grandma' to follow the rules, stay calm bs. The vast majority have, and will continue to do our part to minimize the spread, not eliminate, minimize. It's a small minority that's not imo.

She and the province have to take some responsibility, or at the very least hear and acknowledge the frustration of many who do think about things, look at things logically and wonder where the common sense has got lost along the way. At the moment your little 7 year old is getting dropped off at a park, and many times a massive complex (Mouat) and you are being told to sit in your vehicle or leave. Or head to the Highwayman for a pint until their session is done....

This is what I would have been trying to say if I were not drunk at the time.

I’ll try to find it again but there was a good video of Premier Kenney from Edmonton and he spoke about why Costco were open and small businesses weren’t allowed as well as his regret to label things essential and non- essential, and how Alberta will never require vaccinations by law.
In a nutshell Costco and Walmart etc were allowed open because of necessities of food and pharmacies that were deemed “essential”.
Home Depot and rona I think stayed open too because they were willing to sacrifice construction industry workers I guess and they needed supplies to keep workings and economy rolling
But he answered some questions that have been making the rounds for months that nobody seemed to wanna answer.
It was more informative than our “Town Halls” on global that served up beach ball questions that everyone knows the answers too.

Another item I find irritating here in BC...

No reporting on the weekend. Other provinces are doing daily, why are we so special? People freak out on Monday due to 4 digit numbers (not everyone smart enough to do the math).

Another thing: why not do the live briefings in the evenings? Fcuk all else on TV at that time, take advantage of it where more people likely to make it a habit to watch. 3PM isn't ideal in my books.

Oh I see, so this is ll about you? And what you want? Selfish son of a bitch ;)

You can’t complain about being tired of her and in the same breath ask for more of her damnit!!! :)
Skipping the weekends and doing a 3 day update on Monday makes the fear mongering for effective with bigger numbers anyways

I find it weird how there is zero cases of the flu this year??
I find it weird how everyone starts wearing masks and the cases start going up?
Introduction
Because of its highly communicable and debilitating nature, influenza is the most dramatic infectious organism affecting elderly people. About 90% of the more than 1200 deaths each year in BC due to pneumonia and influenza involve persons 65 years of age and older; half of those occur during the four-month period from December to March. In the confined setting of the long-term care facility, attack rates for influenza can be very high, reaching up to 60% to 70% of residents[1,2] with case fatality rates as high as 30%.[3] Infection among health-care workers during outbreaks is also common (20% to 50% attack rates) leading to absenteeism, disruption of services, and greater risk to patients.[4]

This is a quote from the BC Medical Journal in 2000. They had 1200 deaths a year from flu.
We are at 365 deaths for Covid over 10 months???? And no deaths to the flu???

I'm sick of everything.

Sick of hypocrisy. Sick of assholes who can't just throw on a fcuking mask to walk into a store. Suck it up, dickhead. You wearing a mask allows the shop owner to stay open another day.

Sick of cnuts from Squamish and Pemberton shaming me for coming to their community to ride...well, that is, up till Thursday when ski season opened and all the fcukers are up here getting their ski fix in. Seriously, this is a real thing. Signs on the trail access road in Pemby telling outside riders to stay home, that their community is patrolled...and then I see tons of Pembertonians and Squamptonians in the lift lines on Thursday.

Sick of Karen. You watch, nobody but babies that look like they've been beaten w/ the ugly stick will be named Karen for the next 20 years.

Sick of my kids, at least the older ones. One is too scared to leave the house. Completely stressed out by school, but works by himself in the basement with the light off, drinking beer while at school. All day. Can't be fcuked to go for a walk in the fresh air. Other one claims she is too scared to go to work in a restaurant, but I come home today from physio and the idiot has 5 friends home, none wearing masks, and I actually have to explain to all the idiots that if a cop saw all these kids in my house they could fine me. Why? Because you are all dumb cnuts, that's why.

Sick of not being able to see my dad. He's getting old.

Sick of my neighbour, who is a cheap German twat that has a problem is every-little-thing. Now doesn't like my 8' tall Stainless Steel Palm tree with LED lights. No, this isn't COVID related, I just wish he's find the wrong side of a snow plough.

What else?

Sick of not being able to travel, both for work and pleasure.

Sick of our economy taking a shite kicking, sick of seeing good friends have to close shop, then in the next FB post some fcuking government employee getting mad at crowds at the mall then calling for all businesses to be shut down till this thing is under control. Fcuk off, twat. Don't give a fcuk anymore what Government job you have; your job is guaranteed, and as such, you simply don't have the same stresses small business people have. Your work is guaranteed. You may contract COVID in your work (with extremely high likelihood will be just fine), while the rest of us may never contract COVID and still die of it's side effects. How is that right?

I'm sick of it all. Dr. Henry equates this to an Ironman and we are just on the bike turnaround. That made me want to kick her in the cnut.

Let's get through this thing then plan a big TTP reunion at @Rangerforever 's pad. Good? Good. Sounds good. I'll bring the chips.

Life is about choices isn’t it Dude. Some people choose to take risks and it pays off massively. Others take government jobs for modest pay, can’t dream of the holidays, excursions, Whistler life style guys like you have gotten. Often times I’m jealous and have thought what am i doing with my life here. Right now I’m thankful for my employment. I’ve worked this whole time. But unfortunately due to that haven’t been with my parents who live 15 minutes away for 4 months.

It’s easy to rag on government workers but tell you what I’ve put in 50hrs a week for much of it while guys I know work 25-30 hrs for twice the money. I’m the first one to wear a mask and listen, I don’t want anyone losing everything. That’s been my point let’s listen so I can see my parents again and people don’t lose their livelihoods here.

You'll get the holidays and excursions all in good time my boy when you take retirement at 55 with your fat government pension. ;)

I'm so tired/numb of it all on so many fronts and miss a ton of things I took for granted.

Good news is 20 million inoculations are heading to the US this week or something.

Again, sick of it!

Firefighter gets on FB: "Went to Metrotown today! counted 25 people without masks! Then another 5 fights at stores! This isn't going to be popular, but we need to shut down all small businesses till we have a vaccine!"

Then he made an apology the next day.

Guess why?

Most of us work in a business, and rely on that business for a job.

Most employees in Canada are employees of a small business. Second? Government. Third, big corp.

Yeah, it's all about risk. Some people- maybe you, maybe not- think it's absolutely OK to sacrifice people's life long businesses, and those employees. That's the standard answer. "All about choices!!!!" Your neighbor who can't pay the mortgage? Fcuk him, he's small business, it's OK for me, Mr. Government Employee, to shame him for going into work every day, and busting his ass. He's travelling outside his area!!!! OMG!!! He's going to kill EVERYONE! MURDERER!!!!

Well guess what, pal? You don't want people to lose their livelyhood? They already have. Too many have. I am thankful, actually. My business has suffered, sure, but not like some guys I know (and on this website) who have lost everything. Their businesses up in a cloud of smoke. But hey, Mr. Government Employee thinks it's OK for us to just shut down our businesses. Because Mr. Government Employee has no risk. Nothing to lose, so it's OK.

And to be clear, @bulljive, except for your very cnuty "Life is about choices isn’t it Dude" comment, I don't think you actually want your friends to lose everything. You aren't that guy, but that's the type of cnuty comment that these days brings those people who are financially suffering to their fcuking knees. And that's something else I'm sick of, the insensitivity of those that have nothing to lose.

It's OK to be woke. It's not OK to stand up and say, "This is fcuking stupid, yeah? I'm losing everything for a particularly nasty flu, no?"

It's OK to shame people for working, but not OK to call bullshit on that.

And yes, I wear a mask, I actually follow all the regulations. I still rode in Pemberton, too, and made sure to tell a truck full of guys to eat a dick when they were standing outside my car asking where I was from. "See you in November on the hill yah cnut."

Particularly bad flu seems like a little bit of a light description. 35,000 died from the flu last year in the USA 270,000 so far this year from covid. That’s with all the shutdowns etc. Yes I’m with you stats are skewed, never have deaths been recorded this black and white (covid) where it would of been listed as various factors in the past.

Obviously it’s brutal what’s happened to many financially in all this. Im not looking for business to shut down nor have I ever called for it. but I’m not an expert to say how this should be handled either. What if the world was wide open and say 8 million people died, maybe it wouldn’t be much worse. Who knows. Is that worth the business? Hard to decide the cost benefit. Would I take 10 more years with my dad over your business? Selfishly yah I would. I think anyone that answers different is a liar honesty. Humans are selfish by nature.

I just think you are painting a lot of people with an unfair brush. We are talking about a random firefighter on FB and Assuming that all people with nothing to lose, don’t care. Like it’s are fault that this has happened? I care just as much as they did about the people struggling when their business was booming. People are scared and don’t want their older love ones getting sick. Some more scared then others. Government workers? Speaking of cunty comments,

I may be, but I am fcuking sick of business people taking it. “Front Line workers are the heroes”. Fcuk. That

Mom and pop shops that are being devastated because of a particularly bad flu, those are the real heroes. Too bad they are also the war dead.

And yeah, I am painting a brush, but by and large, it’s those guaranteed jobs, or those login’ CERB life of endless free paydays that are out there dictating to the rest of the population how they should behave. Meanwhile we are losing more people to the real pandemic, depression.

I’m actually quite middle ground on this, believe me. I wear my mask everywhere. I hate it but I do. I wait patiently outside till it’s my turn. I try to tip well. I always give people space. I have made a huge effort to be kind. People are just hurting, big time. I want to be sensitive to that.

I have employees on one side absolutely petrified of getting COVID, and others totally clueless. We’ve laid down the law, modified our workplace, accommodated working from home, and cracked down on the clueless, because yes, this thing is actually real. it is slightly worse than a bad flu. Why? Nobody dies of a flu. They did of some other illness where the flu took them out. Like my father-in-law.

But yeah, you asked me what I’m sick of? Sick of the sales jobs. Sick of the propaganda both ways. If I hear another asshole complain about masks infringing on his rights I may just kick him in the balls myself. Then, when I hear people complain about getting vaccinated, I’ll kick em again.

@bulljive ....as long as I get my outdoors, I’ll be ok. If you and your government worker cronies take that away, I’m coming to burn your fcuking Peleton. Mark my words pal.
