This is a really fun summer league for over 30s. Primarily NSCL teams, with at a few VMSL sides. Usually some good banter from this league, especially guys like Bonefish, Anti-Fan, JAGS etc. Standings going into week three:

And from the flying horses. 2 and 0 with a lot of goals for. Gonna get harder for us but we look good so far. CVU said we looked more dangerous than the WV premier team going forward. Johnny V is on fire in the first two games. I love summer soccr.

Ya Sir M, playing up front. I think i am the 4th keeper behind Lietzman, Locke, Eagles and then me. I don't think i've ever been the fourth keeper before, but i'm happy to be that guy.

Win for Flying Horses last night over Nordic - 2 to 0. Some of the old Nordic guys who came to the horses in recent years had a difficult time. Gavin F best player on park for Nordic.

Another epic post game at Kinsman - BBQ was going, drinks flowing and then Browns!!

In a top of the table game between two undefeated and untied teams last night, the Flying Horses prevailed over Norvan in a tight checking derby match.

Final score WVFC Flying Horses 7, Norvan 4.

Flying Horses play Howe Sounds tonite. Going to be a tough match as many players are away for the long weekend. We have a solid 12 players tonite that will battle hard and go for the win!! We win - guarantees 1st place in league play.

I understand that there have been complaints through the league that the FHs have a "stacked" team...what is with that assertion?

From what I heard most people are choked that the FHS are using me as a striker where most teams are having a fit. Obviously JJ. As for being stacked I don't know about that. A very deep bench with solid players might be more like it. Unfortunately I'm on the shelf tonight as i got rocked from behind In a pcsl game last night. Good luck to the horses tonight.

News flash: I heard the Horses actually lost a game for the first time in several years!! Eagles whats up?

So final game of the regular summer season for the horses this eve...it appears that the team that was playing the the team that could take first place away from the horses has forfeited to their North Shore League opponents in a potential league title game. So the horses need a point later tonight to take first place.

They are a newly promoted Div 2 VMSL Masters team to Div 1 coached by JAGS and Eagles being involved in coaching I believe.

Congratulations to WV Flying Horses on their A division win, Thunder for their B cup victory, and Lynn Valley Azteca for winning the C cup. Another great NSCL summer season in the bag. Well done everyone.
