If TTP seems extremely slow after 5 tonite, don't blame me... a virus is set to trigger apparently at that time that has the potential to bottleneck the internet. Apparently quite a frightening thing.

You can combat it from your end, but only if you're running on Windows NT or 2000 (it can only infect those operating systems). You can do two things:
1. To rid your machine of the current worm, reboot your computer.
2. To protect your system from re-infection: Install the patch as specified at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/itsolutions/security/topics/codealrt.asp.

The virus works by infecting computers exponentially: 1x2=2 - 2x2=4, 4x4=16, etc. By protecting yours, you can help slow down the virus and minimize the problems associated with it.

I believe the biggest threat is to servers running Microsoft's IIS software... that's where the big damage supposedly is gonna come from, if there is any.
