So lets recap what's going on in the world of sport these days. To top the list obviously, Euro 2004 has just started. Enough soccer talk there to last an entire week let alone one show. Surely they knew it was coming up and could have done some sort of research or at least lined up a few people, like say Carl Fletcher, to come in a talk about it. The NBA finals.... loads to talk about. The CFL/ home town Lions (who rights BTW are owned by the team 1040) season is less than 4 days way. White Caps have finally won a fcuking game. What else? There is Baseball , NHL CBA etc... so what to these two waste bags decided to do an ENTIRE show on? That's right. The fcuking Canucks of 10 years ago. What fcuking else would you start a Monday off on? He guys, figure it the fcuk out. There is more out there than the cnuting Canucks team of 10 years ago. Who gives a toss? Seriously!

Mojo's afternoon show is putting these two to shame. If it weren't for the Dan Patrick show or Jim Rome I'd never go back to the 1040 because of these two. Even the slightest hint of something else being talked about set off Donny Taylor who I completely fcuking hate now...Caller- "Hey you guys see that England game yesterday"? "What a finish"...Taylor - "NO!! were not talking about that today The Canucks lost the Stanly Cup on this day ten years ago..." Easy Taylor he didn't just take you sucker away did he? Fcuking girls blouse!

Fcuk off Team 1040 and take Pratt and Taylor with you. You've completely missed the boat with those two.

Brian Burke roast/ thank you dinner tonight at the Western Bays shore. If you listen to 1040 you wouldn't know that, but Mojo will carry it live at 7:00.

Lame.

I don't bother listening to Fatt & Naylor at all anymore. They're horrible. I hate to sound like I'm bowing to the almighty Yanks but the on-air sports "experts" in this province are fcuking garbage, compared to what ESPN and Sporting News Radio put forth. You can throw Mojo in the local radio refuse container as well. He's a moron.

Give me a guy who can at least offer information and legitimate opinions on more than a single major sport ahead of some tub of Pratt who's three favourite topics are Crown Royal, Doughnuts and taking pot-shots at a GM WHO WAS FIRED A FCUKING MONTH AGO.

As for Taylor. I'm guessing the three pounds of gel don't have the same effect on radio as they do on TV. If it wasn't for Dippity Doo and a database of old Canuck uniform numbers, Taylor would be selling cell phones at the mall for a living. "Uhhh...and the Team1040 clock reads a quarter past five....with the minute hand now pointing to Larry Bolonchuk's old #3." Haha. That never gets old.

I love the guy who keeps dialing in to make reference to Donny's Sportsnet desk job as "bingo-calling". I think he's been blacklisted, though.

Waiting to hear a discussion about yesterday's magnificant result, I was dispointed this morning on the way to work to hear nothing but what type of underwear Pat Quinn was wearing for good luck 10 years ago. I thought to myself, that's ok -- B. Mac knows nothing but hockey -- this afternoon they'll be all over it.

Um, no. Calling to ask/complain when they may get around to discussing some "Euro Cup" (fcuking annoying when they call it that -- either "European Cup" or "Euro 2004", but not some Disney-ized hybrid of the two) instead of continuing with their 24-hour circle-jerk about a time the Canucks didn't win something. (Maybe we should have a 10-year anniversary every year)

The producer guy said, we might mention it once this week. If it wasn't such a crap station, I'd think he was taking the piss outta me. Problem is, he was probably serious.

And for the record, MOJO wasn't much better. Aside from a short talk with the assistant sports editor from the Province/Sun, everything was how great it was during that year WE DIDN'T WIN the Stanley Cup.

Truth be told I can't stand Vancouver sport radio, period. (do I have to put a period (ie) . after I type period? Crazy.) I usual hang-on long enough to hear what Porn Star is having a Birthday on the the twat brothers opening mono-log, if that's what you want to call it, before I turn the radio off / punt it across the room.( I have angry issues you know and a unlimited supply of radio's, apparently). How is it possible that neither of the two stations programmers can figure out, with the exception of a small group of about 20, no one give a shite about the Canucks right now? Especially a team that fcuking lost 10 years ago! It's truly startling. Why is it no one has told them that more people play soccer in the country than hockey? I'm not saying devote the fcuking program to it, but when something big like the Euros comes along for god sakes at least bone up (sick) on the sport, find a few guys over sea's or locally for that matter and get at least a day out of it. Scratch that a half hour segment and I'm not talking a quick call to Lenard Bobaduzzi either.

Thank God I have Luc Van Winkles old choons for new choons to get me through the day. Who's this Phil Collins I hear so much about?
