Possibly the most ingenious and original movie of the year. Also the best so far.
Not since The Game have I been simultaneously so confused and enthrawled. It tells the story of a man trying to avenge the murder of his wife while coping with the debilitating condition of having no short-term memory. Since he can't remember anything new, he's forced to write short clues down, tattoo himself, and photograph individuals he meats so that he can "recall" them later.
What allows us to take part in his journey, is that, by telling the story backwards, we know as little as he does. We only begin to put things together as we learn about his recent past. Absolutely brilliant -- well worth full price . . . and more.
