Babcock signed in 2015 8-year USD 50,000,000 contract which means that he will now get remaining USD 25,000,000 to sit at home and pick his nose for the next 4 years.
It must be really nice to have that kind of money as Toronto Maple Leafs and be able to waste USD 25,000,000 like that.

Canucks should be licking their lips and firing green tomorrow to get him.

I believe he is the best coach in the league however when you have a kid who barely has pubes controlling the money and signings and didn't address their one weakness as Barrie isnt working out

This isn't about the Canucks. It is about the Leafs being SO bad that they even managed to get the best hockey coach on earth fired.

Well it must have been fun while it lasted but time for a rebuild but at least you have all that playoff success to look back on.

He's definitely one of the best coaches. Certainly now the most wealthy!

I remember when he came in and he talked about a 5 year plan. You could argue that talent wise they were on track, but 5 years is a long time for any coach, especially one as intense and hard as Babcock to keep the message fresh. Agree totally on the players.

What's his next stop? Some chatter this morning about it being Seattle.
