Dezza I believe you are correct.
The reason the FVSL has not made a final decision on the protest (I Think) is because they are waiting to see if they are awarded a 4th spot.
One or 2 of the Interior leagues may be dropping out as per usual and thier spot wll be awarded to someone. (via application to be in a draw)

Interesting... from past experience it seems as though the host league gets first choice of entering an additional team. For Richmond that would be Athletics, but it's all moot if no one drops out.

The Draw for the Mens Keith Millar Cup will take place on May 21st, 2010.

Hey guys just a quick question hopefully someone can answer... we have booked our hotel already, we are hoping that BC soccer hasn't allocated certain hotels for teams to stay in. I know this has been the case in the past but hadn't heard anything so we went ahead and booked one. Thanks.

I have heard the same manutdfan. BC Soccer likes specific hotels. Something about the free porn and buffets. I'd definately check to see if your's is on the list.

Competition rules have since been changed and you are free to stay wherever you wish. We are finalizing rates with a local hotel and offer that up to traveling teams.

Does the draw include eithe Guildford Utd or Pomo or both? was there ever resolution on this?

I just spoke to BC Soccer and the draw has been delayed till early next week.
VISL has to confirm that they only have 2 teams comeing instead of the 3 allowed...No Chilliwack...No host team and No Interior.

Meaning 3 teams to be added via a draw, 1 from 3 different leagues or 1 to each of the leagues if VISL sends only 2 ,4 total.

POMO is in (unless VISL sends 3 and FVSL loses the draw all together.)

Look for VISL to not send 3 and every league gets another team to enter.

There is no spot given to the host team..last year Prince George got a host spot ..actually 2.
Richmond always gets 3..this year maybe 4 after draw

If its true the VISL is sending a 3rd team then the final 3 spots will be drawn between any of the leagues who ask to be in the draw...(Leagues who can under the registration rules field a team at this time of the year.)
Thats the problem from what I hear. Players transfered by January 15th and signed by March 31st to any team. So each league is looking to see who wants to play(and be competitive)
If Victoria finds a forth team its only for the draw...As for the rest of the Leagues 4th teams...Into the hat they all go.

The draw has been completed but bc soccer will not release the groups until schedule is all completed which could take till next week!

This is turning in to a farce. This tournament was always held the first weekend of June which was already too far after the season, but now BCSA have pushed it back even further, leaving it to fall during World Cup! I'm not surprised teams are dropping out as I'm sure lots of people are away for the summer (some probably going to South Africa) by the time this rolls around. And good luck getting anyone out to watch the games with Brazil playing midday on the Sunday.
