Anne Chopra is no longer a member of the Law Society of BC. Doesn't mean anything necessarily - just that she's no longer practicing.

Thing is, if you want something investigated, you hire someone with criminal or quasi-criminal law experience... That's not what they did. Also, you usually get an oral opinion so that you can bury it if you don't like what you're hearing... not saying that's what happened here but those two things combined don't give a me a lot of confidence in the motivation to pursue the issue fulsomely...

No throw ins? As the owner of a long throw, I think that is ridiculous.

Makes sense in some situations...

'I would like to change the throw-in rule: five minutes before the end, a throw-in for you should be an advantage, but in these situations you are facing 10 outfield players in play, whilst you only have nine,' Wenger told L'Equipe in 2020.

'Stats show that in eight out of 10 of those throw-in situations, you lose the ball. In your half of the pitch, you should have the possibility to take a kick instead.'

Throw ins have also been identified as an area of the game which can be used to waste time, but in addition, the development of long throw specialists, who may cross the pitch in order to launch the ball into the penalty area can add to the delay.

At the youth level 12 and under I’d argue 9/10 throws lead to kicking the ball wildly/scrambles or the ball going to the other team. Not to mention all the stopping for foul throws etc. A quick one step pass can speed up the game and allow for more possession and quicker restarts. You can teach a 13 year old in a few sessions how to do a throw. Young kids it’s about keeping their attention and touches.

One thing they should do is if you grab the ball then you're the one who's gonna throw it. Too many occasions when teams waste time they do this. Player one grabs it, hums and haws about throwing it only to give it to player 2 to throw it. It's asking for a CIC two footed challege! Haha

I always thought it was weird how we cant touch the ball with our hands during play but we can use our hands for a throw-in.
Definitely think teams would be able to keep more possession off of a kick-in.

I love watching Lewandowski play. I fear he won't be getting the same level of set up that was built around him at Bayern. But he has been a huge offensive force and seems to always have the hunger, maybe he will get it done at Barca. Not sure of their overall quality, but hope Frankie moves to MU as his bird is smokin and it will be good to see her in the stands when she isn't in the Mediterranean.
