Im not surprised about Tobiano. This is a beautiful course but it is kind of in the middle of nowhere. My guess is they hitched their wagon to being able to develop a real estate community, but why would one want to invest in a piece of property overlooking a polluted from the pulp mill lake that has railway tracks running up where the beach is supposed to be? Next time you are up there, have a look at how many boats or waterfront properties you see and compare to other Okanagan/Simalkameen lakes of similar size. Too bad really.

sir m, exactly.

I love golfing there.

But that area would be just above Hades and Baffin Island on the list as ideal places to purchase recreational property for me.

Just hit Predator Ridge - Ridge Course yesterday. Again, top drawer, Iginla was playing behind us, what a bore that guy is. Today, The Rise if the weather holds out.

Head to Chambers Bay home to US Open in 2015, links style, walking only, caddie in white carrying.....if u break 90 with your 10.7 index they will give u a free pint - web say 200 plus, walked on for 95, best dam course ever. Business plan, discussed at bar, price will be over 300 by 2012 summer season

Canyon Springs,Twin Falls, Idaho - Snake River Canyon - where Knievel tried to fly - Mom and Pops operation..nice place, maintained well for 40 a round

This years golf trip is to Ireland in September...the line up:

K Club
The Island
Royal County Down
Royal Portrush- Valley
Royal Portrush - Dunluce
Port Stewart (The Strand)
Castlerock
Ballyliffin - Glashedy
Ballyliffin - Old Course
County Sligo
Ballybunion - Old Course
Ballybunino - Cashen Course
Waterville

Wanted to play Lahinch and Old Head, but just didn't make it in the itinerary. Old Head particularly looks to be a stunner.

Anyone been? Thoughts? Feedback?

If you are heading down to Dingle, there is a cheap one that is gorgeous on the water (CastleGreggory). We were the only ones on the course (later September). Stunning. Also, Gaelic Football finals are around this time - entertaining, for sure.Mr&MrsFreddy.jpgCastleGreggory.jpg

If anyone wants to go halfers, i've got inside info on Tobiano, and it's for sale at a measely $5.5Million. Bank just wants to cover it's loan. Any takers?
Property value has plummeted to about a third of the original price apparently.
It's a great course but to bad someone can't make a go of it.

Played Talking Rock last week. First round (and probably last) of the year. Always in great condition. $100 including cart.
Played with another couple and finished in under 4hrs. Haven't had a round that quick in ages.

Played Chambers in June....great track and the caddies were fantastic. There is a golf hotel deal ( Hotel Murano ) in Tacoma which made our golf and accomodation $300 a head. Played the Home course ( sister course to Chambers ) and it was very good as well. Think the round there was only $40.

Played Northlands with Lockey today. Great course and value for money in comparison to city courses is second to none.
