Slurrey pulls off the upset of the year 2-1 vs Whitecaps U19 last night out at UBC.

Last week the Caps had given Tigers their first defeat of the season.

Slurrey is having an embarrassing season for the ages. As relegation seems to be a real thing this year in the FVSL, the club is going to have to do some soul searching because they are not going to draw any players playing in Div 1 next season.

Where did it all go so wrong?

FC Faly with a big result last night in getting a point from their match vs league leaders Tigers that ended in a 1-1 draw.

However they dropped a spot in the standings, falling to 6th as the Royals leaped over them as they won 2-1 vs Micro Footie.

If I had to guess, the winner of the preseason tourney/cup that got a spot would be the first criteria... That would be Tigers. Then you have the Pak Cup finalists Tigers & Langley getting the next 2 spots. Since Tigers already have a spot, it falls to the next in line in the league which at this point would be Abby no matter what.

From there, the 4th seed is set with Royals next in line.

They were in first when when the entries needed to be submitted. It’s up to the higher powers to sort out the fall out of a draw held weeks too early. Like teams now being able to win/tank to get into a softer side of the draw.
