Question regarding the "new rule changes"

Week 1 & 2 the refs gave a rundown pre game on the new rules being implemented, if the ball hits the ref, drop ball to the team who last touched it, goal kicks can go inside the 18 etc...

We were also told anytime the ball touches a hand it is to be whistled down and a free kick is to be awarded regardless of intent or not, and games had been called that way since week 1 which was fine we as we knew that was the new rule. Last night during the game, we were told handballs were only going to be called if intentional which caused some frustration due to the interpretation of whats intentional or not.

Not a huge deal and not having a moan, but it would be nice if everyone was on the same page with these new rule adjustments and there was consistency with it. Players shouldn't have to adjust every game to refs having a different take on different rules... especially in premier.

Coastal 5 - Van United 1, van united might be in a similar spot at the end of the year. They did not look good on the field. Coastal was dominant over them controlling most of the play all game long. Coastal had their top players acting like just that. Their top players.

I thought you played for Coastal... Fronting on the Div 2 thread like you're relevant. Sounds like the level you're on is bench warmer or side line spectator.

Maybe Abbotsford D2 should move up and play to their level. I was hurt while they played Vancouver united fc.

No need to reply to him bro, he is a keyboard warrior. If his legs moved as fast as his mouth does I would actually know who he is.

You finally found a key board warrior to partner up with? You done calling people Down syndrome and retarded and bringing race into everything? Good for you you’re moving up in the world.

Not sure who was officiating your first couple games, but it sounds like they may not have been clear on either their explanation or their understanding.

The only time it is a "handball no matter what" regardless of intent is if it leads directly to a goal.

Other than that instance, the handball law clarifications implemented this season is likely to reduce the number of handballs called. Now if there is a close ricochet etc. as long as the player is not making himself intentionally bigger (the terminology used is has his hands/arms outside of the "playing silhouette" of his body) it is not a handball offense.

Sounds like whoever you had in your match last night likely had the correct interpretation.

Sure sounds like a moan :)

Can you all just shut the fcuk up and talk soccer! For fcuk sakes! You’re all wrong in some way. So grow up and move on. Talk about the results in your game you played. Talk a bit of trash and leave your childish bull shite for the field. Where you have to own up to the pitty shite you say or do.

Coastal 3-1 Port Moody. We went up 3-0 (Goals scores by Sean Northcote, Isaac Kyei and Taj Sandher’s) with 20 minutes left in the match where PMO began to pour it on and scored a goal. They also had a PK with 12 minutes to go but was saved by our keeper. They definitely had their chances in the last minutes. Onto the rematch next week in the SoccerCity Cup Final!

Abby 5 CCb 1. Pretty much a waste of evening. CCB is not even close to being a premier team rather a decent div 2 team is more realistic. They scored on a indirect kick at the top of the 6 yard box and beside that no saves by our keeper. Their CB is actually pretty good but no one around him to help. I really hope they get better

CCB is so bad 4 goals might be the closest they get to a result all year. I don't think they would even get promoted from D2 they have no organization and their players are trash. How the league let them straight into the Premier division is beyond me. Such a joke

This kid says the same shite after every game. He gonna talk bout how they dominated possession had endless chances. Abby only had 5 chances and were clinical... Add in somin about the way Abby plays is exactly why the national team is shite.

Mans is a visionary everyone just hasn't recognized it yet
