Question regarding the "new rule changes"
Week 1 & 2 the refs gave a rundown pre game on the new rules being implemented, if the ball hits the ref, drop ball to the team who last touched it, goal kicks can go inside the 18 etc...
We were also told anytime the ball touches a hand it is to be whistled down and a free kick is to be awarded regardless of intent or not, and games had been called that way since week 1 which was fine we as we knew that was the new rule. Last night during the game, we were told handballs were only going to be called if intentional which caused some frustration due to the interpretation of whats intentional or not.
Not a huge deal and not having a moan, but it would be nice if everyone was on the same page with these new rule adjustments and there was consistency with it. Players shouldn't have to adjust every game to refs having a different take on different rules... especially in premier.
