Happy New Year to all the Olde Bastards in the Valley!

What's the schedule for first games back?

Had the displeasure of seeing Whistle Blower play over the break - what a train wreck!

:D

Cheers,

~Regs.

AllBlacks vs DMU for 2007's first FridayNightSpecial.
This tilt is always a pleasure to play as either team can take the points on any given day. Mike Richards and I have enjoyed kickin' the crap out of each other for about 15 years now. Also lookin' forward to havin' a pint with Crafty and Co. Put the pizza order before the game lads and we'll play you for the bill.;)
First game for me, fatter than ever, I bet I'd give PhatnSlow a run for his money when it comes to blocking out the sun with my girth. Not to worry, just glad to be BackinBlack!

Re: [FVSL Masters 2007] January Predictions, Banter & Results

Hey FVSLers what has happened to this once proud thread? One post this year?

Coach? Any BIG new signings?

HOS? Geez I hope you are not offended that I suggested that you be chosen by Sir Alex behind Howard and Carroll (and VanderSar and the Polish guy...I know 5 on the depth chart is not that great but it's Man U after all:) .)

RF? You guys play tomorrow will you move up in the rankings if you defeat Mission? How is that match shaping up?

PS: The FVSL site is very confusing to people who don't smoke a lot of drugs.

Some might say that your chance of moving up the rankings improve when you don't play.

No Big signings Sir M but yes we got two new players on board.

Off to Mission tomorrow night where i have the team booked into the Missions Springs Hotel for the night.

Here's hoping the boys get a good start to the New Year.

Here's hoping we get out of a Mission Bar alive.................

Good luck boys.

Thanks Coach, good luck and I do not know personally but a win could very well move the Rangers up. Its the New Year and as you know this is the time when the rubber meets the road (whatever that means).

So Coach..how bad was it? How did your new signings play? Where did you end up playing..Mission or Newton? Either place has bars that you can have trouble getting out of....enjoy the Sunday football..how about the hawks..kinda like the BC's last year for the winners..no?

Cheers!

Re: [FVSL Masters 2007] January Predictions, Banter & Results

Thanks Scotty i always love your posts!:D

No game this weekend due to the snow storm that hit Mission.

Unfortunatley i forgot to tell the boys the game was cancelled so we had a little"Team Bonding Night!"

The bars in Mission could only be describes as "Special"

Dan Penner has a house out there (Yes only Dan could live out there) and he turned out to be a gracious host for the town.

We worked on some very good set plays!

Mclean and Baily were at the back of the bar chatting cougars while Izzat and Parno dug up the dance floor at Cheetahs....

Our Mgr Larry, got on stage as he always does and brought down the house!

Besides that, not alot to say except three of our players woke up in Bellingham??????????

We may not have won on the field this weekend..........But christ did i ever learn alot about these nutbars i play with.

Who do we play next week?

PAU 2, GEU 0.

Good battle, actually.

After a pretty evenly played first half, we gave up two PK's   in the second half and that was it. Although our keeper did make a terrific save on the second one which gave us some late life, we got caught pressing for the equalizer and gave up goal #2 with about five or ten to go.

It was nice to actually play a home game. That was the first time we've played in Maple Ridge since October.

AllBlacks 3 Delta Utd 1

Same as always with this fixture, a very tight game and always a pleasure. Beefcake Bellafontaine with three assist, Fergie with 2 and Mike “The Indian Dog” Watts with the other.
New signing Glen Cameron really fitting in nicely and basically a great effort from the entire squad.
Special thanks to the waitress at the Delta Lion for buying the boys a “Team round” and 5bigtoes for your never ending support. :D

Sorry Highlander...........

It's just a long way to go my friend.

It's bad enough we play out of a place called Newton.

Hey Coach, you could always manage in Langley;
our Gaffers a complete wanker!:D

Highlander, FridayNightSpecial at The Oval if it doesn`t snow and these hurricane like winds die down a wee bit. Lookin`forward to it, we`ll see if we can get an earlier start.
Just nice to be back-in black, 6 months off was way too long.

Re: [FVSL Masters 2007] January Predictions, Banter & Results

Well, well ,well..........

Things are slowly coming back together in Rangerville.

Dougie Mckinty is moving back from Toronto and should be joining the squad in three weeks time.

Studs is a welcome addition to what can only be described as "the year of the injury".

Six players gone to long term injury so far.

Every team goes through it.........Cal and Studs will help along with one more transfer that just made it in under the wire.......

Four more days to get the roster in tact and make another run at this silly thing we call the Provincial Cup.

Game On!
