Seems like the game at JO is actually North Delta SC v Stolo United. Some kind of technical glitch before I guess? There is only one Abby team in Div 1.

Looking at the roster of Burnaby FF, I'm picking them as darkhorses to win the division.

Looks like a mix of Surrey and Port Moody Players... and the league gifted them a spot in Div 1.

The league did gift them a spot in Div 1 this year. They decided they wanted them to play a year in FVSL before giving them a Premier spot.

They played as BTIL FC in Knights League over the summer and have for the last couple years. They are definitely the favorite for promotion this year

Well, that pretty much qualifies as "gifted", even if the gift is warranted.

Slotting a team made of established, high caliber players into Div. 1, IMO, is reasonable, to allow them to fast track promotion into Premier.

7/10 teams currently in d1 have a club in Prem already,(pmo with 2) only ones that are truly playing for 'promotion' are stolo ,Bby and Nd... That being said, I think Bby goes to Prem next year....whether they win the div and earn it is up to them

I believe BBY was offered a spot and declined according to my source. Keep in mind they have a lot of firemen on the squad who will be missing games regularly. If they were going to be switching shifts all the time to make games they would play at a higher level. This team is out to drink some beer and kick some ass and they are almost out of beer.
