You had a couple weeks like that last year too. I kicked myself on Friday morning when I realized I had forgotten to pick. Maybe I can be let in at a discount rate....

I'm in KNVB territory with just four correct picks heading into the Monday Nighter.

Houston were clearly the "screw-with-your-picks" specialists of the night, as were the Shithawks, my personal favourites to crash-and-burn against what was supposed to be a pretty solid Saints squad.

Nice to see the Bears put up such a fight against the Niners. Kordell's career takes yet another plunge into the Bernie Kosar/Jeff George depths of NFL bumdom. It'll be funny when "Slash" becomes a nickname alluding to how many NFL rosters Kordell gets cut from.

Brett Favre looks like he should have retired a year ago, and Kurt Warner looks about as comfortable standing in the pocket as Jeremy Shockey would at a pride parade...with the Rams looking as bad as they did, perhaps the Shithawks really do have a chance at the post-season this year.

War Julius Peppers,
-Sensei.

You're not in my territory you are my territory.

It's funny you just posted Sensei, it would seem I was looking at your picks. You're #4 on the list and I'm #5. I've got 10 with the Monday nighter, obviously still left to play. Pheew, for a minute I thought I was toast.... OH sorry. :D

It doesn't make me feel much better, but at least I'm not Sensei. War, not being you.

It pains me so to say this but HOS is in the running for Week honours

Hopefully Lippy/Doddy or Dap have something to say about that :D

Cheers,

Lippy/Doddy and Willis316 haven't been updated. HOS and Dap only have 3 wrong each. (3 must be the magic number for you this weekend HOS. :D ) Both with Philly on the monday nighter.

Dap, 51
HOS 39

I bet HOS loses by 3.

Lets be honest, after all the shite and abuse I have taken, I deserve the first week.

39 is the number, I say it will be spot on.

I was looking at the individual player picks. Willis and Lippy/Doddy's picks are still in blue. Stick that in your refresh and smoke it.

HOS, the only thing you deserve is more shite and abuse. ;)

I will vote against Kordell every week thus guaranteeing myself at least, oh, fourteen or fifteen more correct picks. I would like to pick against the Raiders every week too but I suppose they'll win a few games so I'll have to swallow my pride every so often unlike HOS who swallows something else completely different. The big question is not whether Favre is past it, whether Warner will be able to return to his old form or whether the Bucs can repeat. The real question is how can Sensei quote facts like a sports almanac all year long and still only pick four right the first week?

I guess 51 points is a little optimistic for a tough NFL game. Is it too late to change it to 40? I wanna do it like they do it on the Price is Right. Don't forget to spay and neuter!

My picks for week 2 are in. I have adjusted my tiebreaker score to something a little more realistic this week. I smell another thrashing, ladies!

I guarantee a more successful week this, uh, week.

Of course - now that I have picked all of them - this will be the week that the Shithawks, Vikings, Chiefs and Titans will all go for a collective dump, meaning I once again get four correct picks and end up being on the receiving end of LaTaterTot's slags.

Speaking of LeHashBrown, what's your take on Pittsburgh this week, trying to contain Priest Holmes while their star linebacker tries to contain the bullet lodged in his ass? I actually dropped Pittsburgh's team defense from my fantasy team this week in fear that the Ol' Dirty Priest will rack up like 300 all-purpose yards against them.

Oh yeah, on a side note, the Monday Nighter is a dogfcuker of a game. When the most compelling matchup is between a redneck tight end and a homo-tuna of a head coach, you know ABC's gone done scheduled a stinker of a game.

War scheduling soccer on Saturday this week,
-Sensei.

Chief-Steelers

I was having trouble developing a clear vision of what will happen with the steel curtain against Priest Homie Holmes so I decided to consult with my personal psychic Kenny Kingston. He only does straight-up selections though (hence my twelve right in the first week) so I had call up Mother Love instead. After muttering some crap about a love triangle involving David Blaine, Fastshow and Liza Minelli this is what she said, "Although Porter will not play due to a bullet lodged in his ass and although Priest Holmes is indeed a monster it seems that the Chiefs rely a little too much on him and become one-dimensional at times. They have few other weapons. Holmes will of course get his yards but the Steelers will be able to key on him and limit the damage even without Joey "Damn my ass hurts" Porter. Pittsburgh's offense on the other hand is much more varied. Although Bettis will play very little to a bench lodged to his ass, they do have superb receivers. They will need to get more than three yards a carry from Zereoue though. All in all Pittsburgh will contain Holmes and squeak out a win in a red-hot Arrowhead Stadium.

Word to the Mother.

I meant to say good thing you dropped the Steelers from your pool. Three beers in five minutes made my brain warm and floaty. What a turnaround this week, Sensei! Take that 30-odd dollars and buy the Steelers defence a clue would ya.
