Favorite Ice Cream Spot

Summer is almost upon us and with Dude continuously talking about ice cream I feel the need to find out about where others get theirs. Personally I love Earnest Ice Cream and their 2 locations on Quebec and Fraser.
The Chocolate Malt ice cream is fantastic as is their Salted Caramel and Whisky Hazelnut. Spendy but worth it for a treat.

DQ is a 2 minute walk from place as well. Never go wrong with a Blizzard or Peanut Buster Parfait!

What other places sells fantastic ice cream?

definitely DQ Large Mint Oreo Blizzard, Magical. Also if you got with the Oreo and add in the Turtles chocolate, pretty fantastic as well. If you're in Poco, Matteo Gelato is pretty awesome as well.

Big Scoop still exists.....my god the one in Abbotsford closed over 30 years ago. The place was amazing, I can't even remember the monster ice cream creation that they challenged you to finish.

I'm a DQ man myself. Double dipped, of course. Plus, it's the only place where I can herd 16 little girls though somewhat seamlessly after a match. Whoring ice cream for left-footed goals can get expensive.

here is just something that looks entirely perfect about a swirled Dairy Queen cone. It is almost too pretty to eat.

Among these are ice crystals, high fructose corn syrup, refined salt, stabilizers, emulsifiers, carrageenan, mono and diglycerides and calcium sulfate, a common industrial chemical. Commercial sources of calcium sulfate found in soft serve ice cream are derived from cows or pigs, or manufactured synthetically.

When it is all spelled out on paper, Dairy Queen soft serve is about as far from real food as you can get.


Why not try a fresh, nutritious and much healthier alternative to soft serve this summer like fresh made gelato?
