I just finished watching the Wolves/Newcastle game again, and what a cracking game it was. I love the FA Cup. We get to watch Dagenham vs. Plymouth soon too. There were some big upsets in the last round, especially for all the Everton fans on the site. The cnuts cost me a big bet too. Anyway, non-league Farnborough drew the big Arse at home but had to move the fixture to Highbury due to safety concerns in their 5000 seat stadium. The guy who scored two goals for Farnborough vs. Darlington, Danny Carroll, is a full-time school teacher. That must have been a brilliant reception at his school. Maybe I should try out for the Whitecaps again, so I can have the same success.  . Only in the FA Cup. Brilliant stuff.

Come on, Farnborough.

Rochdale v Cardiff City or Coventry City
Fulham v Charlton Athletic
Sheffield United v Ipswich Town

Stoke City v AFC Bournemouth
Brentford v Burnley
Farnborough Town v Arsenal
Manchester United v West Ham United

Watford v West Bromwich Albion
Crystal Palace v Liverpool

Intesting that Palace play Liverpool again.... Will Man Utd. fall to West Ham again? Leeds have a nice draw, as do the big Arse...Fulham/Charlton in a battle of London......There certainly are a lot of lower division teams at this stage, which only makes things more interesting in the long run.....

Rovers fan forever.

Always have been and always will be a Rovers fan,
however, I do have a soft spot for The Hammers and Wolves.
I just loved seeing Ince again, and here's to the Hammers thumping Scum.
I wonder if Sid has ever been to Manchester?
Much like most of thier fans that are sucked in by the Scum marketing campaign.  ;)

Only a few upsets in the 4th round of the FA Cup. Obviously, Rochdale's win over Coventry was the biggest. Watford beat WBA(most teams do) and Man United pasted West Ham to the tune of 6 - 0. Unfortunately for the football purests, Man. United and Arsenal drew each other in the fifth round. Obviously, it would be more interesting if they were to meet in the final, or in a later round. Also, if Liverpool beats C Palace in the replay, they would play Leeds, assuming Leeds beat Gillingham in their replay. Here is the rest of the 5th round.....

Ties to be played weekend of February 15/16
Manchester United v Arsenal
Southampton or Millwall v Norwich City
Crystal Palace or Liverpool v Gillingham or Leeds United
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Rochdale
Fulham v Burnley
Stoke City v Chelsea
Blackburn Rovers or Sunderland v Watford
Sheffield United v Walsall

Captain's early picks.....

Arsenal
Millwall
Liverpool
Wolves
Fulham
Chelsea
Sunderland
Sheffield Utd.

From the BBC

Fergie must have a brilliant right peg........or maybe left

David Beckham required two stitches after an angry Sir Alex Ferguson kicked a football boot which struck him above the eye, according to reports.
The incident is said to have taken place after the Old Trafford club's 2-0 FA Cup fifth round defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.

A United spokesman refused to comment on the alleged incident and said only: "Whatever happens in the dressing room remains private."

The England captain looked grim-faced as he left his home at Nether Alderley, Cheshire, on Monday morning.

A wound was clearly visible above his left eye as he drove past waiting photographers.

According to The Sun newspaper, Beckham was sitting in the dressing room when Ferguson vented his frustration by kicking the boot.

Match report: Man Utd 0-2 Arsenal
There is no suggestion that the United manager intended to injure the England captain but it is claimed that Beckham was left with a gash above one of his eyes.

The midfielder had been substituted in the fifth round tie after injuring his right leg.

I am just watching the Crystal Palace/Leeds match and can't believe how awful the officiating is towards Crystal Palace. Are they wearing Khalsa jerseys underneath? After watching Palace score their second goal which clearly went over the line AND was also a handball, I wonder if video replay will ever come into the soccer scene. It clearly showed it was a goal and Palace should have been going into the break up by a goal. On top of this miss, he has made some mysterious calls for Leeds too. I am not a Palace fan but they have certainly been jobbed. Even on Leeds' goal, Smith clearly took a dive when they were awarded the free-kick, which led directly to Kelly's first goal. You've gotta love Fox Sportsworld.

Draw for the next round....

Arsenal vs. Chelsea

Sheffield Utd vs. Leeds United

Southampton vs. Wolves

Fulham/Burnley vs. Watford

Early predictions......

Arsenal over Chelsea 2-1

Sheffield Utd 1 Leeds 0

Southampton 2 Wolves 3

Burnley 1 Watford 1 (Watford to win the replay)

Palace robbed.

Not a Palace fan either but a terrible job of officiating.
Its about time the FA put cameras on the goal line, technology is used in just about every other sport in the world, its about time footy caught up.
