The 6-foot-8 Jones played just five games in his only season
with the Warriors, who acquired him last summer in a trade with
Dallas. Jones tore cartilage in his left knee Nov. 5 and was placed
on the injured list a week later, missing 24 games.
A 12-year NBA veteran, Jones played for Toronto, Boston, Denver,
Washington and two stints with the Mavericks. He averaged 7.0
