Div 3 Div 3 2017/2018

Early favorites for each division? Benders, Lightning. Do any teams look significantly different than last season? Are any of the Westcoast teams going to pick up some quality players with their Premier team folding? Are any of the teams new to the division going to show well?
With the season starting in a couple of days here are my week 1 predictions for 3A
Celtic 3-0 TriCity Celtic will be get to experience some winning again after many good years in Div. 2
Strikers 2-1 Sporting Should be a close one as long as Sporting has trimmed their lineup down from 30 guys
Rowdies 3-2 Athletic Rowdies offence will prevail.
Unicorns 1-3 Rockets Unicorns will learn Div 3 is not Div 4. Could be a long season for them.
TWU 2-1 Rangers Not sure how good TWU will be with this as their second team. Still think they can beat the Rangers

Heard Celtic and Tri-City tied 0-0
Correct sir. Pretty cagey match, Tri-City had one guy up top who was a great player but went offside around 10 times. Finishing was rough at both ends.
Celtic has about 9 returning and 10+ new guys (4 from last year's Milan), so it should definitely be an interesting year.
Week 2 Predictions
Benders 3-1 TWU. Two teams that won their opening games. Benders should look to stay at the top of the table all season.
Celtic 2-0 Strikers Strikers were beat handily by newcomers Sporting and Celtic should do the same.
Rockets 1-0 TriCity Looks like it should be a close hard fought game.
Rangers 3-2 Unicorns. Could be an early season relegation battle.
Fraser Valley 1-3 Sporting. FV were pounded in week 1. Sporting showed well and should continue to.
Hope Rowdies will take it easy on us.

Celtic 3 - 1 Strikers
We were probably the more skilled team (wtf) but definitely knew how to play as a team more than the other guys. Our guys up front got the job done. 3 solid finishes from inside the box had us up 3-0 then they potted one late while we were being lazy and dreaming of post game beers on this lovely hot day.

Rowdies 3-1 Highlanders. Rowdies controlled most of the ball throughout the game. Had some troubles with the final ball in the first half. 0-0 at half. Rowdies scored at about the 60 minute mark with a quick response from us. Their second goal was a ball that bounced around and then deflected off a defender. One of their guys got a straight red for telling the ref off after he commited a foul. We pushed for the final 10 mins and they got a late counter goal to seal it up. Could have been a much worse scoreline if not for our keeper. Hopefully we can get our season going next week with a game against FV Athletic.

The unicorns know that the numbers 4 and 3 are different. Div 3 is just div 4 without the teams that show up with 8 players. Don't flatter yourselves.
Highlanders 1-0 FV Athletic
We started the game strong with a goal in the first 10 minutes and then proceeded to hit the woodwork on two more occasions in the next 10 minutes. We took it to them for the first half hour of the game before they started generating any offence. The rest of the game was was pretty even with neither team getting too many quality chances. Good to get the three points and a clean sheet with our back up keeper in the net.
