Their are a lot of documentaries in this series about the dark side of the ring. I have see a few but this one was really dark and showed what head trauma mental health, depression mixed with drugs etc did to someone who knowone thought could ever hurt his family

Wow....literally exchanging e0-mails w/ Chris' dad right now. He's a supplier. This was some time back but I know Mike was rocked badly by Chris' death.

Mike is one of my all-time favorite people in our industry to work with. It was very, very sad when this happened to the Benoits.

Have you watched the documentary? I was shocked about how much brain damage he had from concussions.

No not at all, seeing this was my first knowledge of it being out there....

I really feel for all these wrestlers and hockey / football players going through the hard learnings of concussions. We will all benefit, but too late for them. Most of us have had them; I had a very bad one in 2012, and the effects of it still hang around now...but really didn't start getting peace from them till maybe 2018 ish? The worse lingering effect is the temper; I was already a snap show, but with concussions, it's different. You can go black so fast. It's almost like Jekyll and Hyde, only way to describe it. Recognizing it when it's happening is a constant work in progress.

Funny you say that Dude, I’ve had 4 maybe 5 concussions. 2 of them were quite bad, out cold. Not for long but went out, wobbly legs and needed help walking. Lingering headaches and light sensitivity after for a bit. However I never really felt I had lingering issues but my temper is 0-100. Often times when I reflect, I don’t even understand why or how I got that mad. I also always had a temper but I really struggle to control it now.

It's hard man. It was hard on the family, too. I run hot under normal circumstances, but before 2012 (from 2012-2014, I had three really bad crashes riding / racing), if I snapped, it was many times calculated or by choice. Temper rising, and chose to just let it rip.

After?

Totally uncontrollable, and I'd be in the moment, knowing it, and couldn't do anything about it.

Would have been easier on the missus had I just gotten myself a small blond mistress with small waist and big tits.

Great. I will let that 13 year old female referee know that your blew up at know that it was due to head trauma and that you couldn't be controlled. Now we know....and knowing is half the battle!

8 years between posts, that's impressive.
