Excited for all the Canadians in the competition this season.
Atiba and Larin (assuming he stays which it's looking like he will with only a few days left in the window) should have a chance of getting out of Group C with Besiktas. That one looks like a pick 'em.
Same with Jonathan David and Lille in Group G, they should have a real chance to progress. Obviously Davies and Bayern will be expecting to get out of Group E.
Tajon Buchanan won't be with Brugge until after the MLS season and they'll have been bounced out of Group A by that point. Maybe they can pip Leipzig for 3rd but it'll be a tough ask. Also, not sure if that's enough to get into the Europa League this season? With the new "Europa Conference" I'm not fully up to speed on the rules for who gets into which competition when.
Still, lots to keep tabs on from a Canadian soccer perspective!
I agree, although it was potentially a leg breaker, the YB got there just before making a 50-50 a 52-48 with a very sore ankle. I suspect Lindgard won't be seeing a lot of time in the near future. The look on Ronaldo's face at the end was a photographic moment.
