That was a well written article but I had to stop reading when he said Henrik got punched several times in the face. I am sure the rest of his facts were accurate though.
Didnt see this article back then, it nails the issue clear on the head. While the Canucks were busy running around desecrating the game of hockey with their antics, their fans were busy conjuring up conspiracy theories and alleging that the physical brand of hockey that's turned up every April since Moses walked on the earth was somehow patently unfair to their team. One rumour being floated is that Burke was cut loose because of his continuing refusal to deal with any long-term contracts.
The one the Vancouver press flacks like is that he didn't want to take on Luongo's large and lengthy contract, and the board disagreed with him. Any truth to either of these?
