You.

After he commandeers(sp?)the army truck he drives over a silver bridge. That bridge is in Pitt Meadows. After he drives over the bridge, he crashes into a gas station, and the gas station blows up. The gas station that they used was in Maple Ridge.

Any other questions?

Say Anything.....classic

Say Anything
1989 - USA
Director - Cameron Crowe

Say Anything stars Ione Skye as an over-achieving high-school graduate soon to head to England for a scholarship, and John Cusack as the ne'er do well Army brat she has started dating. Her father sees Cusack as the exact wrong thing at this moment in her life and the relationship between father and daughter is tested, and prevails. Cusack spends the rest of the shrinking summer trying to win her attentions back. The main characters of Say Anything are as carefully drawn as any you'll find in contemporary film, a real counterpoint to the abundance of John Hughes productions making light and cheap of the terrors and rewards of living in modern American society, especially as a young person.

The soundtrack album for Say Anything features a fine compilation of songs from Peter Gabriel, Living Colour, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others.

+SC'sreview, Best lines of the film, when the guys are siting outside of the "Gas and Sip" talking about women and how they have been treated along the way. They pan through Cusack's buddies as they make their own comments. They focus on a young lad barely old enough to be out of the house at night and he refers to women as "Bitches man, Bitches". I think it sums almost everything up!
-then they proceed to the white man's rap about their ol' buddy Lloyd Daber..."Lloyd Lloyd all null and void"-can't say it enough, CLASSIC!;)

instead of being online....

Instead of being online to ring in the new year Capt'n, go down to the little video store in Steveston, tell them Sexual Chocolate sent you! Put it on Moseley's card if you want!:p

Actually, this movie makes some sense to those teens that I have helped get through some rough times. It is pretty intense, but yet another classic from our friend Cameron and of course, the amazing Cusack male!;)

2 of my Favs

Here are two movies that have always been my favorites.
25years between these sequels.
The Hustler (1961) and The Color of Money (1986).

Here's an idea

Alright people. Call me Captain, but I think we need to have some sort of filtering mechanism when posting some of these movies. "Bad... But really great 80's movies" implies that some element of cheese, but which are entertaining nonetheless. Movies such as Rambo, Animal House, Slap Shot, and First Blood are clearly great movi-- err, films. They should not qualify for this thread and, as such, be placed in a thread named, for example, "Classics".

On the other hand, flicks such as Porky's, Airplane, The Three Amigos, and Krull should are simply so bad they're great. They most certainly belong here.

If, on yet another hand, this is just a thread of 80's movies, perhaps it should have been more accurately named. But maybe I'm just being picky.

sticking with the theme

"Not B.A.D., but really G.R.E.AT. 80's movies". I'm surprised no one has mentioned a true classic!

The Road Warrior -Memorable lines

Curmudgeon: Ya have to come, sonny. This is where we're going. Paradise! Two thousand miles from here. Fresh water. Plenty of sunshine. Nothing to do but breed!

Papagallo: What is it with you, huh? What are you looking for? C'mon, Max, everybody's looking for something. You're happy out there, are you? Eh? Wandering? One day blurring into another? You're a scavenger, Max. You're a maggot. Did you know that? You're living off the corpse of the old world. Tell me your story, Max. C'mon. Tell me your story. What burned you out, huh? Kill one man too many? See too many people die? Lose some family? Oh, so that's it, you lost your family? That makes you something special, does it?

Papagallo: Do you think you're the only one that's suffered? We've all been through it in here. But we haven't given up. We're still human beings, with dignity. But you? You're out there with the garbage. You're NOTHING.

The Gyro Captain: They've got you wrong. You're not a coward. STUPID, maybe. But not a coward.;)

Oh crap! I just realized it is another Aussie, shite, we can't get away from them...YIKES:eek:

I just figured out why...

I just figured out "why?" The Apprentice "Appy" hasn't been participating in this forum. He was fcukin 1yrs when this stuff came out!

Maybe K-nob should start a mid to late 90s movie thread so Appy and Aluminumtune can relate here! -when was your first time that you took in a movie on your own "boys"?

Sticking with the theme, I'm sure you will all agree with a really bad movie here....

Purple Rain:rolleyes:

(can't get a pic, maybe K-nob will do it for me with all the time on his hands)-thanks in advance!
