In regards to the joint Bid for the 2026 WC a list of potential venue's has been released.

As far as Canada goes I may be a little biased but Anything Under 40,000 capacity I cant see as an option.

Mosaic Looks Nice but can they get the support?

Could BC Place , Century link and Commonwealth Combo as a possible geographical fit?

I guess its somewhat dependent on how the groups lay out at the end of the day.

Translation: the Americans called our bluff and stole the entire cruise ship industry out from under us...

And I agree, shouldn't be hard to lay down some real turf... just put a tarp between the fake stuff and the real stuff and you're good to go.... right?

Rumour that Vancouver is getting 6 games.

Toronto is going to be pissed if true.

yes, but when they lay the grass on top of plastic, leave the roof open, and it rains, they'll have to move our games back to Toronto anyway...

Rumour floating out there now that Vancouver may be hosting the venue DRAW when the time comes.

If that happens, Toronto will shite themselves for a full month.

That certainly looks like the intimate atmosphere the Caps have had last few home games. Right there on top of the action!

Did they state which country (or all countries?) are considered "host" countries and therefore included in the WC?

Not that I'm aware of... I think it is just assumed that all 3 are going to auto-qualify as with 48 teams, the number of spots from Concacaf is going to go up a fair bit.

So each group will have 2 matches per day and 3 matchdays total making 6 matches.

I wonder if they would split a group between Vancouver and Seattle to reduce travel. Each host city would get 3 group matches.

On 2nd thought that is way too logical for FIFA
