Format has officially been voted in, groups of 3 is OUT!

• 12 groups of 4 teams (rather than 16 three-team groups)
• 104 games (rather than 80)
• Top 2 & the 8 best 3rd-place teams go to R32
• Finalists will play 8 games (up from 7)
• Final: July 19 in the US

With an extra 24 games now, will be interesting to see how they get allotted between the 3 host countries.

On the 80 game schedule, the breakdown was

USA 60
MEX 10
CAN 10

I would imagine with each group now consisting of 6 games, you could see both Toronto and Vancouver getting that amount plus a R32 game each? Or maybe they open the door for additional host cities?
