Group C group of death? Or at least as much of a group of death that one can find in a Gold Cup? Group B wild card between Qatar and Honduras (and Mexico if they don't pull their finger out soon-ish???).

Could actually this be the year Canada doesn't bottle things against minnows? Surely we are cruising in Group D? Right? Right!?? Bueller??

I think Group B was the concensus chatter for Group of Death...

Canada couldn't have hoped for a better draw in the group though the wildcard could be the team to come through the prelims - more than likely T&T or Guadaloupe.

Assuming all "top" teams come out of their groups, Canada would need to go through probably Jamaica in quarters, then Mexico in semis, then USA or Costa Rica in the final.

Only 1 game at BMO.

TFC have a home game on July 1 which is Canada's 2nd match day. The Gold Cup will be played in Houston.

Then Canada play July 4 also in Houston.

BMO hosts the Argos July 3. Not sure if that was part of the decision not to come back, or they just figured it was too much travel to go to Houston and back.

Here's the Canada squad for the Gold Cup:

Surprised to not see Kone here, he's young and needs more minutes in the National Team setup to continue progression.

Secondly, where is Ugbo?

Agree about Kone.

This would have been a great time to see Ugbo try and establish himself and get some goals and win that third striker spot behind David and Larin.

Gold Cup begins today with just a single match USA vs Jamaica

KO 6:30PM Pacific.

All games on OneSoccer / fubo.tv

I haven't checked but today's game may be on cable as FOX is showing the games in the excited states.

To be honest, super disappointed we are not seeing more changes in the back. I get it, you still need some stability but fcuk me, Borjan and Vitoria are not the future!

That being said, looking forward to seeing what the dude from the Timbers brings as well as Ahmed from the Caps!

LFG!
