He's still not my kind of player but he did work his ass off and respect that he came in fit to begin the season, as it showed yesterday.
Another decent game for Cava. You're right as he does look more fit than years previous. I can do without the dumb yellows but his recent displays are encouraging. Not many old school #9s around anymore either.

Caps lose again in dramatic fashion. In the 86th minute, both Raposo and veselinovic fell asleep. star #1 could do better with this roster.

Looked like Raposo was at full stretch and missed the ball but Vesa should have cleared it. Don't know why he let the ball go across his body.

Was the stand in keeper at fault for the first goal? Looked saveable but they only showed the replay from one angle on MLS website.

Cava was out from yellow card accumulation I believe. I didn't see White on the roster....injured?

White got tied up with the keepers in COVID protocol, I think... as for the first goal, Dajome was doing his best to mark the goal scorer, but he's just not that type of player. That's on Sartini. Goalie probably could have done better but the chance was point blank.

Caps did 2 things today better than Liverpool. #1 the caps scored. #2 the caps won.
Interesting lineup. Jungwirth in central mid, gaudino in mid and Owusu in an attacking role. They played better.

Silly me. I should have reported that the Whitecaps and real Madrid scored goals and won their games. No reason for me to kick Liverpool while they are down.
Reports that Mane wants to play for Bayern next year.

Whitecaps 2-1 over RSL today, lucky to get the points. Crapper with some big saves and luck on whitecaps side.
The 5 subs brought into the game were much better.

Was RT hurt or something? For the life of me, I can't understand how this club did not have him involved yesterday.

Sarcasm at 6:24 in the morning. Were you expecting him to show up as assistant coach?
For the less informed, Caps say RT is injured.

Mid-field looked way better without RT in it.
I even liked when the crypt keeper would push up into the middle.

eye injury for RT, apparently...

amazing what happens when RT and Cavallini aren't involved... I thought the Caps played pretty well overall - although Raposo at wingback had me wondering how many gatorades Sartini had pre-game...

I can agree with RT but Cavallini? Cava has been playing really good this season.

Prefer White, both on his play and on his ability to avoid idiotic yellows - though Caicedo took up that chore on Saturday for Cava... but yes, Cava has been better this year, I agree... still think for the money they paid to get him and what they're paying him in salary they could do better - but that's true of 90% of their squad...

Agree that Cava has been really good this year. Sartini cannot put both berhalter and RT on the field at the same time.
Apparently Cubas is ready to start playing. Midfield will be improved.

Yup!
Arguably we haven't seen an in form Cava with an in form Gauld just yet. Maybe we will see it soon and possibly fireworks! Also hope White finds his groove again.

No idea who this is. lol
Will research.
