My dream scenario is Oz take Argentina to penos. The dancing goof GK subs in and makes a save off Messi for the win.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I can't stand Peter Drury... almost as much as Wheeler.

Mbappe looks like he can play at that level.
It's not just that he can score, it's how. Giroud may have Thierry Henri's record for now but....

Interesting site for player comparisons. The number of data points these days is incredible.

You can even compare yourself to the greats lol

There's even a World Cup section.
Hadn't heard of this site before but others here likely have.

What surprised me in the Japan - Croatia game is how the Japanese came out in the 2nd half playing a milli-second slower and passes that were right on in the first half became sloppy and not useful. Maybe it was fatigue but on Croatia's goal they were sloppy up front getting back.

As a coach if you have a player the caliber of Modric would you take him out in a tie game? If nothing else he keeps your shape.
Then to take out Perisic who was impactful in the first half was equally odd.
After that it didn't look precision play that they started out with in passing - although that didn't work for more than a goal.

The PKs for Japan were brutal you can't miss the first shot. It looked like it wasn't practiced.

The PK for Croatia right down the middle should be the one the Japan GK saves although he played a good game and hit some good balls downfield.
