The original plan was to have a ACMFer (attacking centre midfielder, otherwise known as a 10, false 9, maybe an 8, but certainly not a 7 or 6, unless your 6 can also lie deep and spray the ball around, and cover ground, or perhaps your 5 tucks in occasionally. I love this trend of using numbers to describe something that was already easy) controlling the attack and Cava focused on finishing. That’d be the excuse. But I’d also believe he should have done more with what we had. We do have two fairly dynamic wingers at least driving an attack from the flanks, so not like he was on an island with no supply coming in.

There appear to be strong rumblings he’s asked foe a sale back to Mexico. Too bad, I’d say at this point you invest in another year where the club is playing at home, and they have better pieces in place.
