Agree. Maturity as an athlete happens at different times. He’s losing time. The game is cruel that way…if you don’t show that maturity and resiliency early, it’ll spit you out. Sounds like Mexico was what he needed TBH to scrub out what many of us saw as some entitlement.I enjoyed the Bustos interview too. It seems like even he admits that he's not the same player he was with the Whitecaps -- he wasn't focused or fit enough back then.
He's 25 already so unfortunately he's lowered the ceiling on his career quite a bit by not climbing the levels earlier, but he's clearly one of the best in CPL and I hope he does get a chance to move up now.
