Alright…how about some predictions:
Lomas (1) v Norvan (1) - tight game! Nice soft draw for these twoI like the Lomas in OT…sorry Mick and Bonefish
Right score but it was Norvan in pk's. Should have been over early but we missed some quality chances. Our keeper made a great save on the first pk and our finishers were all good.
Think we must be saving ourselves and our clinical finishing for Poco next weekend!! Guess our "soft" game is in the books..... At least it looks like it will be a nice afternoon for a few bevvies after our final game of the season!!
Yes numbers are tight these days for us. Fielded 9.5 by end of last Friday's game. Guess we better pack for a year ender as well! By that I mean do up a BBQ to help them celebrate a great season.

Assuming the Masters Provincial Cup allocations are the same as last year, the VMSL has 6 entries. The top 4 in the league standings plus the finalists of the Masters A Cup. Therefore:
Guaranteed berth into Provincials:
1) PCOV
2) PoCo
3) West Van
4) Romania
The next couple of rounds of the Masters A Cup are going to be very interesting with Westside (5), Columbus(6), and Croatia(7) all in the bottom half of the draw battling for a single berth to the Provincials. Westside would still make it into the Provincials with PoCo and/or Romania making the finals in the top half.

Plus Norvan is still in it...all they have go do is beat Poco and Romanians. Falconettis are still in it as well, but they have to go through Columbus and/or Westside.

The position/rank of the Top 4 can change, yes. But as posted, they are the guaranteed Top 4. I also just noticed that Columbus can end up tied with Westside for 5th place if they beat PoCo in their last regular season game. That would be a huge game should Columbus lose this weekend.

Poco 11-Norvan 1..we were up 3 buzz at half maybe 2 and they played some decent footy until the flood gates opened.good group of guys,no quitting at all.The goal they scored was a cracker from 25 yards out.On to Romaina in the semis.
It twas a tale of 2 halves. 2-0 first, and 9-1 second. We would have needed all of our guns to keep our heads above water but the way things shook out, we had no subs and an injured player in goal. The goal bonanza began in earnest after said keeper was further injured challenging a ball in the box.
9 of the goals were quality and 2 were comedy central candidates including a goal line clearance off Slater's beak.
It was a mostly fun game to play in until the spectre of double digits appeared on the horizon. The skill level between Prem and Div1 is a bold line indeed.
