Go transgendered monsters around the world.

Do we have any on our team?

<sigh> Looks like our promising new keeper has Pat Onstad's hands. Is this really the best lineup that we can dredge up for the MNT? Coach Hart's going to get bad ulcers from this lot...

Canada did not deserve to go through. Ironically, it was Canada receiving the dodgy penalty calls in our favour in this tournament but they still could not find a way to get it done. So many times in the past we have been shafted by strange decisions in CONCCACAF (sp?). Not so ironically, looks like the team has the same old problem...can't score goals in open play. We do look like we can keep possession just ever so SLIGHTLY better than in the past but the problem is that the other countries around us are still improving at a faster pace.

Canada seems to be this loose collection of very average players with no chemistry brought in from the lower leagues around the world. What are Canada's strengths and how exactly are we supposed to beat teams? Back in the day, the MNT was always trained and brainwashed to be fitter than the opponents and they would never be outworked because we could beat them in a 12 minute run. Pretty lame approach but at least it was something! We had an advantage on our opponents! An actual strategy! A plan! What is our identity now? Who knows. We still need a complete overhaul from top to bottom and it will take years...but I think it is possible with the changes that are in the air.

As for Hart, poor decision on the purple shirt.

I am looking forward to the final tonight at 6PM. I don't think the US central defenders are going to be able to handle someone like Chicharito. Over 90,000 fans are expected (mostly Mexican fans) in Pasadena this eve.

Dos Santos is an enigma wrapped in a cipher smothered in secret sauce.

He is akin to Russians in Hockey. Super talented and a severe lack of work ethic or drive of any sort of a consistent basis.

He's played at how many clubs on professional contracts thus far? 3 or 4? He's 21/22?

**edit: I just checked, 2 contracts with Barca and Spurs, but he's been loaned to Ipswich, Racing Santander and Galatasaray... no traction to his career yet.

Still an awesome goal.
