Money says the Idiots bottle it again and Indo goes right back up... unless they lose a couple of players to Khalsa in the Premier?

Whatever, this side is moot anyways since Club I isn't in it :D

Everyone is Back

Indo will win it in a cakewalk-one tough game in Deep Cove.

Deep Cove is getting old and have no great talents in their ranks.

As for Rich U. - There are 2 things in life that are constant: 1. change 2. the poor bastards in Div 1. Good team for competition purposes, but they will always fall short. Sorry, John.

WAB,

No need to apologize..........our results speak for themselves!

As for the rest of the division it will be tight again. DCR will be in the hunt for sure! They have nicked a few of the Peg lads, at least that's what they say. Fireman have a new coach, and Skinner is set to play again as his status as a Fireman is now secure.

As for Indo, well they have to the favorites based on there past few years. That said the biggest difference between Premier and Div 1, besides talent of course, is the fact that you need to be good every week, with no shockers for 18 straight weeks. Premier teams often don't crank up the intensity till after Christmas when spots for Provincials need to be secured etc........This might hurt Indo, but then again they are a veteran filled team and probably have the talent to defend against that ;)

The rest of the division will sort itself out. However, with 3-4 teams all competing for the top spot it will keep things close for most of the year, at least that is what I think:confused:

Good luck to all, and look for a strong RUFC side again this year!

surprise surprise

Word is that there's another Portugese team trying to make the jump to premiership this year. Just heard of some the names at their training and it looks like they're pulling some premier players to help them. This should make things a bit more interesting in the first division.

Herb,

Ask Regs how many Club Ireland regulars were missing. If you want, I will field that one. We had no less than NINE starters missing compared to Firemen's TWO. So I wouldn't get too worked up over the game especially since it was 0 - 0 when we had 11 players. After a the sweeper went down at the 60th minute, the goals were scored. Hopefully this makes you feel better Herb.
