It's how the Canadians train. The strength training they do is not effective and it is very apparent based on their lack of power/explosiveness, and their appearance. Most look more like ''joggers'' and less like elite athletes. The focus is on their cardio and less on strength/power. This is a...
Sesselmann, Kyle and Leon didn't even make the roster for this and now the Algarve Cup. The younger players are much better anyway and seem more interested in actually playing soccer than being wannabe models. Their omission is music to my ears (and the ears of MANY others)
I agree, 100% of their results were based on sheer will. Their explosiveness, or lack thereof should I say, certainly did not help them. Some of them were quoted as saying that they were the fittest team in the tournament. I'm not sure what they were smoking, but I watched the majority of the...
I know how the Canadians train off the field and it's clear that they lack the explosiveness that all of the top teams have (actually make that most teams). Look at the average body type in all of the teams, and the players are muscular, defined, and athletic looking. Look at Canada, and they...
She did that all tournament long and it caused her to under hit passes, or hold onto the ball for too long and get stripped. And she always has the ball underneath her body and between her feet which makes it impossible to play good ball, or move the ball quickly. Not sure how such a glaring...
You couldn't have said it any better . And I wouldn't doubt if her eyelash extensions impaired her vision on many occasions, including the first goal. Being serious...sadly
I'm watching a show on TSN and they are discussing the women's team. Here are two quotes that stood out:
''Sesselmann made an atrocious mistake and was shaky all tournament. Sesselmann was negotiating with the ball the way a raccoon negotiates with a garbage can. A total mess.'' (On the first...
Dude, please refer to team Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.S. as there are some better choices. They also make many less errors on the field and are more graceful in their movements. AND, they don't feel the need to wear a year's worth of makeup, lashes, etc to play in a soccer game
I agree with that. She was a bit better but is still not playing up to the expectations. She lacks the explosiveness and isn't dynamic like many of the top forwards and because of this, she can't seem to create her own chances.
On the other hand, Belanger has been amazing! McLeod has also stood...
Thanks! Also, can I change my profile name so it isn't my actual name? I didn't plan on commenting on any threads and forgot that I made my real name my profile name. Rookie mistake #2:)
