Does anybody have a telephone number for the tourney organizer??? We sent in our registration and cheque ages ago but still haven't got our confirmation!! Starting to get a little worried...
I know what you said...but you quickly followed it up by saying you thought you had a good shot at beating them...I was just pointing out that you were very wrong, and it would be silly of you to want to play them in the semi's just because you wanted to have a kick around with some girls you know.

I agree that the Consolation Cup should get the shaft...We won the Consolation Cup last year (yay!!:rolleyes: ) and what did it get us?? Nothing!!! Sure we were happy that we still got to play games, but we would have been just as happy finishing up our actual League and Make-up games so that...

This happened to us for the last game we played, except it was West Van. Quite the trek from Maple Ridge...We found out on the Tuesday...

Alikira, I completely agree with you.
If a team's home time is Friday night, and it has been that way for the entire season, nobody should be allowed to weasle out of it claiming they can't field a team. Everyone knows who they have make up games against, and its very easy to look up the cup...
One home and one away whenever possible...It just makes sense.

I saw this game...Lightning were all over them and should have won hands down...just couldn't finish...
They lost in PK's, and the Lightning goalie didn't even try on three of the shots...The winning goal was real close...goalie was all over it and just about smothered it, but it squeaked...

Play the way you normally do and you should have no problem. We played them with 11 players (including 2 or 3 injured girls) and we were evenly matched until the end when we died of exhaustion.
Their defense likes to get out of thier zone quickly so watch the offsides, but if you're smart...
