Captain, they may not have enough players left physically after that game. Those two teams kicked the crap out of each other.
As for the hand ball, on its own, yes, it was likely that it should be called. However, where I felt the official screwed up is when she set a non-call precedent in...
Arnott played mostly on the third line in the middle in Saint Loo last year, and that is the fit he would have with the 'Nucks once Kesler comes back.
I hope that Manny can recover from his eye woes, but realistically, I doubt that he can fill that spot anymore. Lapierre is much more suited...
It's tough to pinpoint where Kesler should be. Offensively, he has the vision of a mole, despite his 40 goal season a couple years back. But it's in his own end and in the faceoff circle where you have trouble finding a centre who is better.
I figure that Coach V just puts up with the poor...
The main plus for having this happen is that it will finally get soccer the required attention it needs in this country.
It will also ensure that Canadians who have the opportunity to play with another country will likely opt to play for Canada if they are assured a World Cup berth.
We saw...
Yeah, that would be interesting. Letoux is playing pretty poorly these days, so to have him watch and see what these two could accomplish would be interesting. Two very different styles could make for some difficult defensive assignments.
And to clarify, I never said that Mattocks played...
Don't know about that. I thought Chiumiento was pretty special on this day, save for all the dumb little fouls he was committing.
Mattocks is a bit of a one-trick pony. Sure, he's fast as blazes, but once teams figure him out, he will be very east to defend until he rounds his game out a bit.
Why can't Sportsnet spend the $1000 to send their play by play crew to the freakin' country they're playing in? Some of those moments were embarassing to listen to when they had no idea what was happening off camera.
But Bored likes to run his hands thru my fur...
What a horrendous pitch. I'm glad they pulled it out.
And yes, I'm am always on the Canadian Wagon.:wa:
If they play with the energy they did against the States last weekend, then it's 2-0 Canada.
Only traditional Canadian lack of finishing will keep it that close.
I figure there are 11 teams who at the very least will kick the tires on Luongo's availability and the asking price. The ones in bold are far more likely destinations:
Florida, Tampa Bay, New Jersey, Philly, Toronto, Columbus, Chicago (he will never play there), San Jose (They are not happy...
Since when did liking your teammates on an NHL team matter? Or the coach for that matter?
Do you think that the other 21 roster players are all best friends, despite how they portray themselves in front of the camera? They come from all walks of life, different backgounds, different...
When Canuck fans inevitably come to turn sour on the Hodgson trade when the team performs under par for long stretches - and they will as he will be a stud in this league - I doubt Kassian will be the brunt of the abuse. After all, it wasn't his fault that this ridiculous trade was made...
Gianni, no-one here begrudges a protest if the score was 1-0 or 3-1 - something reasonably close.
But 5-2???
If somehow the result gets overturned and your lot goes through, there will be a huge ASSterisk beside your name as no-one in the province will consider you legitimate champions...
This is where Vigneaux and the rest of the coaching staff don't get enough credit.
I said to Mrs. Monkey before the game that the Kings were probably going to win game 1. My reasoning was that they would have a whole ton of intensity because they knew that if they didn't come with everything...
"Every sperm is sacred....every sperm is great....when a sperm gets wasted...God gets quite irate...."
Cheese and Crackers Thomas, you're a goalie for crying out loud! Shut up and play hockey!
I love when Hernden came on TV, looked right into the camera and apologized to anyone who tuned in after that performance. That spoke a lot to his expectations, realistic or otherwise.
But damn, the US can attack. With all due respect to Abig Wombat Alex Morgan is absolutley lethal. She had...
Don Cherry is done.
He needs to retire after his ridiculous fcuking stance on the weekend. He saw the entire Vancouver-Boston game through brown and yellow glasses and saw nothing wrong with anything the Bruins did. Yet Vancouver were Satan on skates. He even went so far as to say that...
