It is there on 154 with a message that the channel will be available shortly. No picture yet. It does have the listings on the guide, showing 3 games back to back tomorrow morning starting with Spurs Sunderland then Boltan Newcastle and the 3rd was ????
For the rugby fans out there it shows...
Unbelievable, Guinness, Lion and the rest of the Nation have finally convinced everybody else what they have been telling us for years. That they are the greatest, bestest, youngest, best lookingest, best Roxy'ers this land has seen. Never thought I would see the day of the PAU love in on TTP...
No way. Lets hope like always we get the European feeds. Bad enough listening to the Canadian pre a post game produced shows.
i know, i know, don't bitch. But come on, the best tournament, the best announcers, no??
Does anybody have a clue how the 3rd place teams will be strewn about in the Round of 16?
1st place in Burnaby group plays 3rd place of A C or D, at least on the little schedule I have. Brazil is 3rd in Group D and Canada if they win tomorrow would be 3rd in Group A. Might be a pretty huge...
Yes, will be marketed as a separate entity. However don't expect to see much for awhile as their current lineup is light years behind the 3 majors. Their signature Henry boot is not very good.
My two cents on brands, if you have a Nike foot you are a Nike customer. Same with Adidas and Umbro...
Just a point on HD and I only mention it because I think there is an incorrect notion as to what is HD and what is not. And I am sure someone else can/will take it to a higher technical level.
My guess is that the CBC game was not in HD. Just because it is on a 'HD Channel' does not mean that...
I wondered if anybody else noticed that. He was doing allot of the Spanish stuff that GOL was showing as well. I am relatively tolerant of most when you get to watch the best soccer possible, but he is ridiculous. Who makes those decisions that that is what/who the average guy wants to listen...
Follow it, not very closely though.
However as an HD fan, the games on HD Net , 221 on SHAW, have excellent picture quality. Worth watching just for that.
Re: 2007 BC Mens Open Provincial Cup, Early Discussion and Banter
Croatia scored on an own goal fairly early, 15 or so. They had most of the possession in the first half as we sat to try and absorb. As usual, but I also think a necessity, we gave them too much respect. If we don't I think it is...
Say what you will, these guys are just tough to play. Not the most talented, but neither was Langley when we won the league a couple years ago. Well organized, work their asses off, a freaking huge goalie who knows his angles as well as anybody.
We had much more of the possession yesterday...
2-1 Port Moody. The Wack a shell of a team. Anybody who knows this squad knows that was not anywhere close to their full squad.
3-0 PAU. Two relatively early goals by Mo killed this game.
What can you say, it's all about the ratings. Women's curling far exceeds soccer ratings. I hate it too, but ratings are ratings and business is business. I remember seeing numbers re viewership awhile ago, and curling in general had numbers rivaling if not beating NHL and Grey Cup numbers...
Small item not being promoted at all in regards to this tourney is who is not comeing, or DID NOT qualify.
Germany
France
Holland
Italy
England
Portugal, Spain, Poland, Scotland, Czech's, and Austria from Europe qualified.
1/2 page article in the province today describing who he is and in a nutshell what he is about. Interesting that he and Hicks-Dallas Stars owner-have done deals in the past together.
They drew some comparisms between the Canadidans and Liverpool, the fact that he has respected the institution...
One League for the entire lower mainland, especially Premier. Understand Island issues but rugby deals with it, why can't soccer. Subsidize them to travel perhaps.
Alternately, a FA Cup scenario open to all teams, any League, any level with provincial berths tied to it.
