Personally, I love having the cup competition come in when it does.
We're (astro) in a position where there's nothing to play for in the league and there hasn't been since the end of last year. The Cup gives us something to look forward to, a scenario where every game matters again, and helps...

The referees in Div 2 this year have been dogshit. This doesn't stem from any one incident in particular, moreso a comprehensive display of incompetence across the first half of the season. It's a massive shame and it's taking the joy out of games.
