Toronto, ON (May 11, 2020) – York9 FC announced Monday the launch of a York9 FC mask campaign to benefit Mackenzie Health Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund with all net proceeds going to the cause. Managing Consultant Angus McNab said “This is a great extension of our Health Care Heroes initiative and I'm delighted to be offering these masks to our fans. It is absolutely vital that we continue to follow the advice of government and medical experts, and these face coverings are an opportunity for us to both assist in protective measures and raise money directly to help support the fight against the virus in our community.” Canadians are growing more accustomed to wearing cloth face masks while walking around their neighbourhoods or running errands during the COVID-19 pandemic and regulations at numerous local grocery chains and stores now mandate customers to wear masks while shopping. Fans and supporters can show their team pride by wearing York9 FC non-medical grade protection masks and by part of the We Are One community. Mackenzie Health hospital in Vaughan is on the front line of the COVID-19 epidemic York Region. Their front-line workers and those managing behind the scenes are working tirelessly to combat the virus. The face coverings will be available in Adult size and can be pre-ordered from the York9 FC Official Store. They are tentatively scheduled to ship in early June. Cost for 2 face masks will be $19.99 plus tax and shipping with all net proceeds donated to the Mackenzie Health COVID-19 Response Fund.
