Mo Babouli has made quite the return to the Canadian Premier League, as the York United attacker was named the league's player of the month for September. The former Forge FC player joined York on August 10, and took little time to adjust to his new settings. He had an incredible four goals and two assists in four matches in September. “Mo’s come in with a fantastic attitude and application," said York United FC manager Martin Nash of his new star player earlier this month, "and does anything you ask him to do, but is also bringing some new things to our team, these little nuggets (of information), which I think helps the rest of the players.” Babouli is the first York player to be awarded the honour this season. Marco Bustos of Pacific was the first Player of the Month this season (April), while Ollie Bassett of Atlético Ottawa (May), Aribim Pepple, formerly of Cavalry FC (June), Forge's Woobens Pacius (July) and Sean Rea of Valour (August) are the other recipients.
