Goalkeeper Mathias Janssens and attacker Ali Musse will not be returning to Valour FC for the 2020 season. The Winnipeg club parted ways with the pair Wednesday while also confirming the release of defender Skylar Thomas and attacker Dylan Sacramento, who had already signed with Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (USL Championship) and Galway United (Ireland), respectively. Musse, 24, scored two goals and notched two assists across 742 minutes of CPL play mostly as a substitute. A quick, physical presence, Musse mostly featured up the wing for coach Rob Gale’s side. Thomas, 26, joined Valour in November 2018 as the club’s inaugural signing after two seasons with the Charleston Battery of the USL Championship. The Scarborough, Ontario native made 22 appearances for Valour in 2019, accumulating 1894 minutes as the club’s co-captain. Thomas officially joined Pittsburgh Riverhounds Tuesday. Winnipeg-native Sacramento made 18 appearances with 1,106 minutes, scoring once and adding two assists. The 24-year-old joined second-division Irish side Galway United in January.
