Valour FC's off-season roster moves continued on Thursday, with the announcement that Moses Dyer has re-signed with the club for 2021. The 23-year-old forward, who hails from New Zealand, joined Valour in February 2020, and he went on to appear in six of the team’s seven matches at The Island Games in Prince Edward Island. He started three times, scoring a goal for Valour in their final contest of the 2020 CPL season against eventual champions Forge FC. "The way the season finished…. everything just felt so rushed," Dyer told CanPL.ca. "We only had seven games and when it finished it felt like it was just getting started. That’s why I decided straightaway I wanted to come back. The group of boys were top notch, I felt comfortable and was enjoying it and then, just like that, it finished. "I didn’t think about anything else, any other options. Straightaway I knew I wanted to come back. Obviously, we all knew how long this off-season was going to be, so it’s not like I didn’t think about a loan deal, but I knew I was going to come back. "That’s why I talked to the coach about that right after the last game." Dyer proved to be versatile player for coach Rob Gale's side in 2020, lining up as an attacking midfielder, a winger, and a second striker at various points during the tournament. He won the third-most duels for the club in 2020 with 27, and he took eight shots, with three key passes in 272 minutes of work.

Over his career, Dyer has played for clubs in four different countries, having come to Valour from Norwegian third-tier side Florø SK after spending several years in New Zealand and Australia. Dyer has also suited up on numerous occasions for New Zealand's senior national team, having earned 11 caps since 2015, six of them coming in FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Dyer's most recent appearance for the All Whites was in June 2018, when he scored his first international goal — an 86th-minute winner in a friendly match against India. He also played a key role for New Zealand at youth level, appearing in the 2015 and 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cups. He captained the side at the 2017 tournament en route to a round of 16 finish. With this news, Valour now have eight players officially signed for 2021, with Dyer joining two other internationals in Andrew Jean-Baptiste and Amir Soto. Also returning to the side are domestic players Masta Kacher, Stefan Cebara, Raphael Ohin, Brett Levis, and Austin Ricci. The status of 12 players from the 2020 roster has not yet been announced.
