At long last, Canadian soccer fans were treated to news on Wednesday of the 2020 Canadian Premier League season, which we now know will begin Aug. 15 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. As one might expect, the #CanPL crowd was vocal online in the wake of the announcement of The Island Games, with the news briefly reaching the top of Twitter's list of trends in Canada.
