Valour FC grabbed an emphatic 3-0 win over FC Edmonton Tuesday night at a bright and happy IG Field. The home side jumped out a lead after just 90 seconds when Sean Rea’s outside-the-boot pass curved around the Eddies backline and found William Akio who scored his first of two on the night. Akio’s second came after the halftime break when he was put on by Stefan Cebara. Brazilian midfielder Raphael Galhardo opened his account soon after, sending an effort to the left side of Connor James while hitting the deck in the process. FC Edmonton are next in action on Sunday, August 29 (2 pm MT) for an Al Classico match against Cavalry at ATCO Field. Valour will host Pacific FC later that day at IG Field (5:30 CT/ 3:30 PT).
