Atlético Ottawa picked up three points against HFX Wanderers at TD Place on Wednesday, but left it late after a chaotic final few minutes and a dramatic comeback from the visitors. Maxim Tissot had Ottawa up 2-0 a few minutes after halftime after Keven Aleman's first half shot and cross combo found the back of the Halifax net. Halifax got back into the game as Pierre Lamothe found the back of the net a few minutes after Tissot, and after sustained pressure, Sam Salter tied it up from the penalty spot in stoppage time. It seemed as though the Wanderers had picked up a deserved point, but Ottawa immediately went the other way down the pitch, and Ivan Perez scored his first goal for the club, redirecting a cross from Carl Haworth into the back of the net after making a run into the box. The impressive and passionate crowd in Ottawa certainly enjoyed the late goal, while the visitors were left shaking their heads. Here are some sights and sounds from the nation's capital.
