Introducing Canadian Premier League Matchday Playlists: Curated collections of songs that reflect the musical taste of the players on the pitch, the fans in the stands and the region the club calls home. Clubs will release a playlist before every home match playing it in full before kick-off. CanPL.ca’s Highlighted Track: Prince – Purple Rain – Pacific FC The title track from Prince's sprawling, decade-defining 1984 release, "Purple Rain" serves as a perfect come-down for Pacific FC supporters at Westhills Stadium – swaying, arm-in-arm, waiting for kickoff on VanIsle. "Purple Rain" is obviously a reference to PFC's unique primary colour and, possibly, a nod to the wet and rainy West Coast climate. Unfortunately (err, maybe fortunately), Lake Side Buoys and other PFC supporters likely won't see rain, purple or otherwise, on Saturday against Forge FC (3:00 p.m. PT/6:00 p.m. ET, OneSoccer) with sunny skies predicted from pre-match to the final whistle.
